Mean Green Scrappy

Checking in from Little Rock. Hank Dickenson was on my flight this morning and chatted with me for a minute when we got in to LIT. He asked me if I already had a ticket and I said no so he said he would take care of me tonight. It's already off to a great start. Now all I have to do if figure out who he gave my name to and where do I go when I get to the arena.

Is anyone going to this game? I know its only 2 weeks before Hot Springs and it's Little Rock but I went ahead and booked a room and am going up there for it. I really wanted to make it out to a road game this year and haven't so this is my chance.

True, you might have to use cuss words and really foul language for that to happen lol. Does being told you suck count as foul language? Apparently its enough for a warning.

Well I hope he doesn't mind me telling his story. During a stoppage one of the refs was standing at our end and Tasty decided to let him know that he was a bad ref and not doing a very good job calling the game. Keep in mind never using a cuss word or really any foul language. It got the attention of the ref and a look down from him. Then a second ref walked over and he was told by Tasty that he semi sucked and the first ref was told he really sucked. Something to that effect. Both refs were staring Tasty down as they took the truth from him. The refs then proceeded to call over security, pointed at Tasty, and then security walked over to issue Tasty the warning. It was classic and something I will remember forever. These refs need to hear the truth. So Tasty now has an official warning from Sun Belt refs on his record. That is a badge you can wear with pride.

Every game you just don't know what to expect from these refs. It's sad. It looked like Rick V might have been yelling at the refs too at the end of the game in the tunnel when they were walking off the court.

Why don't you ask TheTastyGreek what he thought about tonight's refs. Here is a clue... the refs were not thrilled with hearing his thoughts about them. You are my new hero Tasty, way to take one for the team.

I know how he feels. I too get angry when I have been drinking whiskey and do not want people to touch me. He will be added to my list of liked refs.

Good point lol. My list of refs I dislike is full while my list of refs I like is empty.

No According to the stats here the refs for that game were Sam Croft, Charles Robinson, and Winston Stith. It's funny how the more and more I follow NT and Sun Belt basketball you start to learn who the refs are and which ones you dislike and which ones you like.

I just need Dodge to call a good game Saturday and crush SMU because I have a lot of money and points riding on it in my office pool.

That's just embarrassing for the refs to have missed that. Could they have called a do-over and gone back to the throw in and put the same about of time on the clock if they wanted to?

I sent an email to The Austin and see when they will have some rooms open so we will see. And I will gladly take your info Tasty and talk it over with Brian. Soho and another friend of ours are up in the air.

I remember you talking about renting houses there. I know we like the Embassy or The Austin because of how close they are to the arena and the bars and we are the drinkers of the group so that is important... For some reason I thought they offered a hotel package last year but I am probably wrong. The Austin says they are all booked up but usually they have rooms open up as it gets closer in. Anyways, transportation is set and I am excited.

I know the school sells tickets to the tournament but do they include a package deal with hotel accommodations? For some reason I am thinking they have in the past but I could be wrong. BonfireBrian and I are going for sure and maybe a couple of others are too so we are in the process if reserving everything. We have a room reserved at the Embassy but that is crazy expensive for just two guys. Any info if such a thing exists is appreciated. Thanks This post has been promoted to an article

I do appreciate how well you guard my seats. It's nice knowing I have a neighbor like you at the Super Pit. I can't trust Soho and Brian like that and I would never steal from you but from them, well I would. Also I promise to bring someone next time who knows who Scrappy is and knows that there are two periods in a college basketball game. I'll also have to check from now on to see if they know who you are. I didn't realize just how popular you are.
