  1. Craig is at least consistant in his distancing from the program...no one really knows why, but for Jub not to call him on it I think it has to be something significant. And in my opinion, he will be more than welcome back on the bandwagon once Papa Todd puts our program where we all expect it to be
  2. What's "stuckling?" And would five all campus titles classify me as an all-star? I thought more legend...just short of God, though I do have some omnipotent qualities...demi-God. As for my basketball background...I just love everything about the game, especially college...I went to UNT from 2001-2006.
  3. Some old backwoodsy sounding guy called up and called Papa Todd a racist with absolutly nothing to back it up past the fact that SLC has a lot of white kids and Jub went off...and I agree Rob...there will be some quality drops that come out of that.
  4. WOW...JUB is angry at this douche who just called Dodge a racist
  5. Who's 2006-2007 season stats are these? 80 games played, 38 starts, 26.5 minutes, 9.7 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 1.6 apg. That would be the new 12th man on your bench, one Juwan Howard. And this time you're only tied to him for a season...and not counting on him for anything more than 15 - 20 minutes of competent back up to MVDirk. Show me a better frontcourt than Mbah a Moute, Love, Stanbeck, Mata, and Aboya. (Quincy, Keith and Harold in a draw?). Collison, Shipp and Roll make a solid guard rotation...they just don't thrill me, yet nobody really does this year...Duke will be monster next year...Memphis is over-rated...UNC, Kansas, Louisville you can all kind of lump together as contenders...how about Oregon pulling off the double national championship this year?
  6. And I just got my Althon college basketball preview magazine...the Mavs got my basketball happy pants going last night and I wanna talk basketball today. So...potential topics: 1. Under "hoop superlatives" Bo McCalebb gets some recognition as the 9th best "slasher" in the country and is later given some love as an honorable mention All-American. Kinda disappointed in the lack of a Courtney Lee mention. Also, something to help UNT fans rest a little bit easier, Nebraska big man Alexs Maric is listed as the 4th best "post man" in the country, right behind D.J. White of Indiana and in front of Brook Lopez of Stanford. 2. UCLA National Champion? And am I the only person who was very under-impressed by Memphis? Appearantly b/c Althon has them in the Final Four. 3. Oklahoma State page: picture of Byron Eaton in all of his over-rated, fatty goodness and a postseason prediction in the NIT. 4. Texas page: picture of Big 12 player of the year D.J. Augustin and a Sweet Sixteen prediction. 5. New Mexico St. half-page: no picture, but 1st team all WAC selection love for Justin Hawkins. Althon thinks the Ags will make the NIT as well. 6. Recruiting tid-bits: four Sun Belt freshmen are listed in the Top 300 incoming freshmen: WKU's- Steffphon Pettigrew and D.J. Magely; USA's- Jamar Moore; FAU's- Jamal Owens. SMU has two players list in the 300 as well - Ryan Harp a 6'4" guard from Abilene and Alex Malone a 6'8" forward from Mansfield. 7. Best line in the magazine: "All your buddies are turning pro, so you do too. Taurean Green, meet Anderson Hunt." Classic lets talk basketball...I'm bored out of my mind today
  7. And their defensive coordinator stuck with the same cover one the whole quater.
  8. Also, it may have been mentioned...but Im I the only one who noticed Green got benched in favor of Latif Nurudeen... Kinda got darker at that position
  9. You see what you've started Justin?
  10. Craddock isnt exactly a back up...Dasher got a chance to play when Craddock was hurt early in the year and has earned his time b/c of his versatility. Most felt Craddock was the second best QB in the Belt behind Hughabook when the season started. Five turnovers killed us and forced the defense out on the field WAY too much...quick scoring drives and three and outs didn't help much either. I agree with CFN...I thought the D played well and actually adjusted throughout the game...Green and Agbottah bit on one double move early and MTSU tried it again later and Kartay should've had a pick.
  11. He may not be the best athlete out there, but he runs such crisp routes. He really brings his lunch pail everyday when hes the first in the gym and the last one out. A real cerebral player who is just a pure player with a nose for the end zone. Whoa...end zone was a bit unintentional...but I'll keep it because it makes me chuckle
  12. So what you're saying is that you're not looking forward to the Micah Mosely backfield, Evan Fentriss - Breece Johnson - Sam Dibrell - Riley Dodge wide reciever tandom like I am next season?
  13. We can only hope so. And Norm made a great point...there is no way that the Red Sox would bring in someone who would command more money than Manny and Papi the year after they win the World Series. I don't think Boston messes with this team too much in the off-season...re-sign Mike Lowell is priority number one...after that, maybe look for a utility infielder to plug in for Lugo when he goes into one of his slumps
  14. I don't think there is any possible way Theo wants him...I think he's in touch enough with the Boston fan and no one up here wants him anywhere near Fenway on a regular basis. Look for the Cubbies to be a pretty big player.
  15. If only said coach had the same loyalty
  16. the most reasonable quote I think I have seen on this subject in a while...aside from me stating we should give the bird to dallas from Funkytown and Dirty D...that was smart too.
  17. This is what I'm talking about...beauty and class...and I'll take bottom row second from the left, and top row second from the right, beautiful brunettes.
  18. Gotta have one token snooty private school (Baylor, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Stanford ect.)...so lets add TCU and extend middle fingers toward Dallas from both the West and North.
  19. We have 3 wins against UNO since we joined the SBC...including a season sweep in 2004-2005 against Bo, so he isn't perfect. They have won the last 4 however.
  20. This is Texas...she didn't have near enough silicon and collagen for some of these folks to find her attractive. I am quite disappointed at the lack of USC cheerleaders on the list...not so much for the girls but more the outfits...I love the throwback sweaters and longer skirts...leaves more to the imagination
  21. Well realize that the ACLU is not a government funded organization...they work on annual membership dues, donations and grants from the interest groups they represent...and most of those donations happen to come from causes more traditionally championed by the left (gay rights, environmental concerns, religious boundries ect.)...and often they don't have access to the herds of lawyers that big business or the christian church do...its an attempt to level the playing field. As for atleast one of your examples...lets not forget "God" was not referenced in the original pledge (one nation, indivisible) and if an atheist child is being forced to say something against their religious beliefs, thats a civil liberty issue. I don't blindly support everything the ACLU does, but there is a greater good to their work and they really have no obligation to be "fair and balanced."
  22. I've always been a bigger fan of Hi-C's Echto Cooler (named for Echto the green ghost from the Ghostbusters for those of you who don't remember)...its green and its delicious... UNT - 37 MTSU - 31
  23. Hmmm...not sure where the mention of the ACLU fits into your argument since the majority of their work is done pro bono, focus on first ammendment rights and rarely have any sort of financial reward tied to their settlements. I agree with the majority of your sentiment that there needs to be some sort of personal responsibility...but felt the ACLU attack was rather unwarrented
