  1. I'm really glad that idea never got brought up when we were drunk...especially considering what I would've suggested we do with the sock puppets.
  2. A truer statement has never been uttered. David Kummer should be easy to identify when Denver goes to the Pit, he'll be the one on crutches. I still expect solid heckling from you directed at him
  3. Agreed...and it was probably around 03-04 or so when I was around the program. Of course I want the best for the soccer program and if Hedlund keeps bringing in this type of talent then eventually it may be able to play through poor coaching, if there is any.
  4. It would be very classy of us to stop and recognize Bo. I can't personally speak to his character...but he strikes me as a very grounded indivdual who has been through a lot in his time at UNO. One season ending injury, 3 different coaches (one being a giant douchebag), Katrina, Jamie McNeilly as the most talented player he's ever gotten to play with...thats a lot...and for him to return to UNO this year when he would've been a mid second round NBA pick...he deserves a warm reception (for a total of 45 seconds after he breaks the record...aside from that, ride his ass the entire game)
  5. USA - 85 FIU - 73 - Demetric Bennett dropped 30...and is now tied for second in the SBC sccoring. Daniel Hayles, an Auburn transfer who became eligible in December, has been slowly getting comfortable in Ronnie Arrows rotation. Hayles had his best offensive performance last night, scoring 11 on 5 of 6 shooting...Hayles is a lock down defender, and if he can get his scoring up to about 8 per game, USA will be very scary. Kenneth White led the way for the Panthers with 22, Russell Hicks chipped in 15. WKU - 80 FAU - 62 - No longer wanting to draw the ire of WKU fans, no more a disparaging word against the Toppers. Courtney Lee went for 27, and Tyrone Brazelton added 17...but WKU's biggest accomplishment was on defense, holding Carlos Monroe to 5 points on 2-10 shooting. Inconsistant point guard Carderro Nwoji found his stroke for a night for the Owls, going 4-7 from three, finishing with a team high 19. MTSU - 65 Troy - 64 - Atleast one of my pre-season predictions seems to be panning out...MTSU sophmore forward Desmond Yates is really coming on. Yates is 11th in the conference in scoring at 13.9 ppg...an average he has upped to 18.8 in conference. Last night Yates for a season high 24, while wing Demetrius Green added 14. O'Darien Bassett led the Trojans with 25. Tuesday... ULL - 67 UVST - 59 - I wonder if Utah Valley State is positioning itself to become the 14th basketball member of the SBC. The D-1 Independent played its 4th of 5 games against the Belt last night...and fell to 2-2 in SBC play. David Dees moved back into the starting line-up and responded with 20 points.
  6. Carpet cleaners and landscapers? Or would that be "s-a's?"
  7. Shameless self-promotion.
  8. I fear you discriminate too quickly. Always more willing to please. And on topic: AIDS is bad.
  9. Tap the breaks...thier bench played huge last game against USA. T.J. Worley has been horribly inconsistant this season, but he led UNO of the bench with 24, and Kechan Myers chipped in 14 and those two were a combined 10-15 from 3. UNO's guards shot lights out last week...and they have enough of an inside pressence to defend Q and a hobbled Keith.
  10. Cooley...having seen Nick Russell play, is he worth 2 scholarships?
  11. I think your phat... and chubby
  12. I dont think meangreensports has updated Quincy's weight since he was a freshman, and even then I thought 215 was light. He's atleast 230. And if you think Keith actually weighs 245, then you think Rosie O'Donnell is a svelt 125. I stated previously that I was really impressed with Hogans and thought if he could get up to about 220 he'd be a very servicable 4, but not next season as a starter, not at 195 and not if your 5 is Odufuwa...that front court is just too small, even for the SBC, which has some quality big men coming in next season(FIU's Freddy Aspirilla, ULL's Jeremy Barr, UALR's Johnathon Uchendu and UNO's Jacolby Pittman), as well as some talented underclassmen returning (FAU's Carlos Monroe, FIU's Russell Hicks and WKU's D.J. Magley)...all of whom are 6'8" - 7'0", 230+. A frontline rotation of Odufuwa, Hogans and Stewart would get hammered and our frontcourt would go from clear strength to clear liability.
  13. Hedlund is an outstanding recruiter...but I'll play devils advocate here and ask how good of a coach is he? When I was in school I was very close to the soccer program and thought that the talent level was exceptional, but yet the team always seemed to under-achieve, and he was extremely unpopular with the girls. Heres another strong incoming class...I hope for the best with the program...but I just question Hedlund's ability to turn talent into wins
  14. We use the shotgun.
  15. Throw a JC 4/5 (preferably a sophomore) into that mix and I'll feel a lot better about our frontcourt. Odufuwa isn't big enough to play the 5 on a regular basis...and Howerton hasn't showed the ability to be on the floor for extended minutes.
  16. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Seriously though...GO BIG BLUE...and F-U Slow-io State
  17. I have a difficult time with this question, mainly because geographically my loyalties are all over the place (UMich, Red Sox, Mavericks, I am justified in all of these). Also my best friend became a Red Sox fan during the 2004 season...so he has never seen hard times...but he makes yearly trips to Fenway, has grown to appreciate the Sox history and mystique and has enough Sox gear to make a Southie blush...including a media room decked out with old Fenway photos. I couldn't in good conscience consider him a "bandwagoner" b/c I know for certain he wouldn't bail if the Sox struggled. Yet he has no ties to the Northeast. I think the bandwagoner isn't easy to define, rather easy to identify. One geographic anomaly I think is acceptable...but if you favorite NBA team is the Lakers, NFL the Patriots, and MLB the Yankees and you've lived your entire life in Argyle...and references to Kurt Rambis, Steve Grogan and Jimmy key go completly over your head...then you're a bandwagoner.
  18. I love how after 3 1/2 pages of Cowboy fan complaining nobody has actually hit on the reason the Cowboys lost. The Giants played well. I am rather indifferent to the NFL...and have never been a Cowboy fan...but for the "fire Wade Phillips" war cries to be coming out are insane. The idea that Garrett ought be made head coach are even insanier. It was a tough loss, but goodness this team was not ordained by god. They were an above average team...who faced an above average team. Play the game 10 more times and I would predict a split.
  19. Time to go drink...ya'll stay hard
  20. the difference is the name on the degree. these N'eastern Texas Douches have no affiliation with UT...hell most probably couldnt find Austin on a map...its the NY Yankee fan mentality...if a team wins then they're my favorite.
  21. I need to buy a digital camera and start adding the Yankee species of the Texas Douche to TY. They're not as prevelent up here...as it is not their natural breeding ground...but that doesn't make them any less douchey
