What Recession?
Censored by Laurie replied to UNTflyer's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I'm writing up a saftey guide for work right now and I just had to type "never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person" and I kept a straight face. -

Please tell me someone is listening to Muse discuss politics...I heart Gordon and Jub so hard right now...probably falling on deaf and dumb ears. -

How is Kirby Freeman playing? Didnt he just transfer at the end of last season? -
Going into last college football season I thought we had an experienced defense that was going to have to support our offense while it went through the growing pains of learning a new system. It took about 4 minutes of football in Norman for me to "flip-flop" Nothing about political discussion whips me more than the idea that a politician can't change his mind or reaccess in the face of new evidence.

Whoa. Ummm...you're either calling the exiting administration liberal or you've missed the last 8 years. -
Great article in the most recent Rolling Stone celebrating the 10th Anniversary of The Big Lebowski: I mean, say what you want about the tenants of National Socialism , but atleast its an ethos. Now...there is also another interesting read in this same issue...if anybody feels the need to discuss it START ANOTHER THREAD! It has no place in this one...and I swear if this gets hijacked I will go Wesley Snipes, John MacLean and Edward Felt all rolled into one and ri-hijack this thing so fast. Thanks for your cooperation.

Dude...me too! Really cool girl...we had a little 2 week relationship/trist sorta thing which basically involved seeing some of the most beautiful places in Texas. I need to get back in touch with her... -
Can't blame CoC when a Southern Illinois satalite school is available.

I'm not too familiar with the area...but as self-appointed culinary and libation expert of the board (mods if I could get my nicknamed changed to this that'd be great)...I can vouche for Mi Luna's food...and while my heart belongs to the G-Man on 4th in Austin...the Houston equivilant is solid, if not spectacular as well.

I did not give you permission to use my trademarked team name. I hope this guy shows back up today...I'm a fan of his work.

In a very Dodge2007-like move I also have Colt Mahan lest his dad has reconsidered giving him up for adoption. -
Beer Question. Which Brand To Drink At Tailgating?
Censored by Laurie replied to ADLER's topic in Mean Green Football
The chipotle is certainly bold...I like the flavor, but a pint is about as much of it I can handle. I haven't had the chocolate stout, but I will disagree with you on the bitter...I didn't think those were topical flavors at all. The Hazelnut Brown is really good, but like the chipotle its a pinter...but as a fan of hoppier beer I fell in love with the Dry Hopped...and the black obi goes amazingly with pork belly -
Beer Question. Which Brand To Drink At Tailgating?

Ahh...microbrew discussion... If you're looking to stay within the friendly confines of the Great State may I recommend Real Ale Brewing out of Blanco, TX. Their Phoenixx Double Extra Stout Bitter is amazing. Other good Texas brewers: Live Oak Brewing and as previously mentioned Saint Arnold. If you want to think of me while tailgaiting (Rick)...we Yanks know how to brew some good beer as well. I love what the Brooklyn Brewery is throwing down these days...great summer ale, not too light like a Sam Summer. Otter Creek and Peak Brewing make some delicious Organic Brews...while the Smuttynose seasonals are always different and creative. However if you want the best microbrews in the states these days you must venture to the Pacific Northwest...most notably...Rogue...these guys make an art of brewing. Pyramid also makes a nice beer and is pretty common nationwide. -

Article Proposes New Southwestern Type Conference
Censored by Laurie replied to MeanGreen61's topic in Mean Green Football
IF conferences ever re-align, USM would probably end up with Troy and the FUs of the Belt and the rest of CUSA East. I really wish EA Sports would make a "Create-a-Conference" feature... -
I work as a metalurgist. I have a bachelors in History with a Philosophy minor. I actually agree with yyz (save the shot at my liberal arts education). If you don't think there were idiots in your survey classes who probably had no business setting foot on a college campus than there is a pretty good chance you are that idiot we're referencing. The only way I temper my agreement with Murray is that I felt I got more out of college and developed more as a well-rounded person outside of a true classroom setting...and that technical schools would be unable to provide that same experience.

Lets not forget the Denver Bronco offensive line that has made guys like Mike Anderson, Selvin Young and Tatum Bell all look like Eric Dickerson. Scheme and intelligence play a huge role on the O-Line...not just recruiting the biggest possible player.
