  1. are they still playing with just one ball on the floor at a time?
  2. 20+ years of the same exact thread. maybe...just maybe...UNT football just is what it is. more than likely this team finishes 8-4 on the heels of a 5-7 season. they'll make a bowl game somewhere. they'll do so with one of the most entertaining offenses and quite possibly the best offensive player in program history. replace the DC, recruit the hell out of Chandler Morris, DT and about 15 D-1 defensive transfers and this team is a conference title contender.
  3. and presumably, both teams went 15 deep. probably best not to read too much into it one way or the other
  4. Tulane have the best fit in all of football
  5. 3/4ths of this board have definitely been blocked by an ex on instagram
  6. he quit the exact same way 3/4ths of our roster did. get over it.
  7. it makes sense that @Coffee and TV stayed in Marfa, but I would've had @UNTLifer as a Marathon man.
  8. maybe stop trying to ban all the books? I'm sure every Fortune 500 company has as an interview requirement of 1000 words on the lessons of Beowulf before hiring a new data analyst personally if I was in a hiring position and came across an illiterate Ivy League grad, I'd be doubly intrigued because they sure as shit must be really good at something.
  9. add to that if you've installed managers who can't motivate, why are they in leadership positions. I'll never understand everything about subsequent generations (like...why the hell are they bringing back the white calf-high sock with shorts? we perfected socks with the no-show...at most the ankle-high...it's mad ick, yo) but most of my interactions I've noticed kinder, more emotionally developed people than I was at that age and with that a better sense of self-worth and value...so I can understand how just being plugged in as a cog in an entry-level position is disquieting.
  10. so do corporations have no responsibility to adjust expectations to meet the demands of a changing work-force? so much of the actual pertinent part of this thread seems to operate from a pretty dated idea that employees are "lucky" to have jobs at all. employees are a benefit to the company. full stop. if a company has been doing something for 50 years and now finds that doesn't work, the default shouldn't be to just blame the kids or just blame the colleges...that's lazy thinking...the companies/corporations themselves have to adjust as well.
  11. and in three months these same "bosses" will be complaining that "nobody wants to work anymore"...all while doing nothing to adjust pay scales or modernize work environments to a changing landscape and workforce. just another let's blame younger generations for our own inadequacies and failures article...from Fortune, too, of course...back of the toilet bowl reading choice of 9 out of 10 finance bro douchebags.
  12. all the more reason to get now what he can/was promised.
  13. GMG OldHeads - "the AD needs to do something to better engage the students" AD - engages the students GMG OldHeads - "gosh, can they turn that hippity hop bebob down? what's wrong with some Lee Greenwood?"
  14. they're VERY mid. for every new player UNT added this year, I could give you a band from the same era and/or with a similar sound better than The Killers.
  15. have you bought your away Victoria Fontenot #11 volleyball jersey yet?!?!
  16. you don't think in 20 years your $110 Grayson Allo jersey will have some real sentimental value?
  17. sure. so did Coach K, Roy Williams, John Calipari... no doubt it's a super fluid landscape in the modern game...but if you're doing a pure, albeit lazy "Most Talented Teams" post, it's not at all crazy to keep FAU in the top 50. they've got some players. I'd also say at no point in the last 5-ish seasons of this nice UNT run have we ever had the "most talented" roster in our conference/area. coaching/system/identity have all led to more success than recruiting stars and I love that about this program.
  18. I started posting this exact thing last night. FAU brought in some ballers.
  19. @UNT90 @eulesseagle @HoosMeanGreen @Lydia Gooding
  20. Khelif grew up in a rural village in Tiaret Province, in northwestern Algeria.[2] She originally played football before switching to boxing. In her early years, she had to commute to a neighboring village to attend training sessions, and sold scrap metal to afford the bus fare.[3] She stated that her father initially did not allow her to participate in the sport because "he did not approve of boxing for girls
  21. I know…I’ll fix it. I do just now have a wonderful new term for the vernacular though, so thank you.
  22. Ooo…let’s get in a few more jabs (topical). in the course of a week now we’ve had outrage over someone’s perceived gender, a presidential candidate’s race, and whether women who choose to not have children should even be allowed to vote. somewhere @ADLER is at his computer screen furiously trying to tie these three stories together into one slanderous narrative
