prophetic, huh?
-
betcha one american dollar we'll still find a way to blame the officials for something.
-
he was walking around the Super Pit tonight so we gave him a jersey bc we need bodies.
-
We might be witnessing the worst offensive game of Aaron Scott’s career tonight.
-
Edwards' 37 was 53% of our points v. Tulane. his 22 this half is currently 71%.
-
Miguel’s shot looks like a righty D’Angelo Russell
-
Stone is absolutely terrified of the basketball
-
USF is pretty small…typed as Sissoko got cooked in the post

I can't tell if this talk of Buggs is a joke or ignorance. even stretching it back to his 0-fer against Boise, he's 19-41, or about 46% from three (and a kinda funny 1-5 from 2). that's fantastic. his 16-23 before the FAU miss isn't sustainable and this is why we use percentages.
-
just from memory, I kinda don't blame the ref...maybe if I saw it again, but I recall it being super innocuous and thought that if we was bleeding it was bc he accidentally bit his lip. thought it was at worst a 2 on the Official Kermit Washington On-Court Punch Scale
-
dude barely flinched when it happened. tuff with two f's.

E, definitely...though I don't like the wording on B...I don't think a volume shooter is necessarily "selfish" clearly it was drawn up to get JE running downhill...one screener around the arc, one pass option short corner, one pass option opposite but with the likely thought/intent that Edwards was going to take the responsibility of the shot

the bottom falling out at Memphis is hurting a lot of post-season aspirations in the AAC. I think they're squarely a bubble team now. if FAU wins the conference tourney, I wouldn't be shocked if this league only gets one bid. that pushes Memphis, SMU, UNT, USF and Charlotte all into hope/pray mode with the NIT

1. would be shocked if he plays. he looked in a ton of pain. if he did his groin significantly, we might be hoping he's ready for the conference tourney 2. he might keep the mask another game, but I expect he'll be feeling more himself 3. a duck is a duck is a duck 4. I wish, but I doubt it. we're gonna get 40 minutes of Edwards trying to run point solo and 20-25 minutes of Stone before the kids get thrown in. I hate it b/c the flashes we saw, more last year than this, impressed me, but I'm guessing Moore is done here. when you're a second year PG and your starter goes out and you can't sniff the court while a shooting guard and mini-point-forward manage the ball-handling, it's not a good sign 5. Dixon? he's a walk-on. Morgan on the other hand has taken a scholarship for near 3 seasons now and has scored a whole 6 points in that time. 6. his heater was unsustainable and he's a streaky shooter. law of averages says he was due an 0-fer. that said, he's probably back in the starting line-up and should get more opportunities 7. fingers crossed, I guess
-
still 10 regular season games. I'd be shocked if we don't see it a lot more moving forward, especially if CJs out and I doubt Rubin is gonna be rushed back again
-
I really feel for Edwards (and CJ)...they're being asked to run the team when they should be primarily scorers off the ball.
-
It was protecting the stitches in his mouth from last game
-
we don't have a point guard so a press is always going to be an issue. I think we're all gonna have to live with "sloppy" basketball...especially now that our best ball-handler is likely about to miss some time.
-
fouls to an extent, but presumably bc he was still probably very uncomfortable with the mask/stitches in his mouth. fair play to him for giving it a go...but woof...Sissoko is a problem in extended minutes
-
that was the most painful half of basketball I can remember watching for some time. we gave a foul at the end of the first half to get us to 4 team fouls. we finished with 20. the game went from tough and fun to a root canal.
