To respond directly to the original question (DOES FOUTS KEEP PEOPLE AWAY) My answer is .... No! The administration's attitude for the last 60 years that what goes on at Fouts is no more important, or worthy of their support, than the events that go on at the main auditorium, the residal (sp?) hall, or "the Armadillo", is what has kept people away....not Fouts itself.

You seemed to ignore the first part of his resume. You also seem to ignore that he has resources as well, and that he wouldn't be honored as a writer if he has a tendency to make up information. You'll pardon me if I don't take as total gospel most information coming from the Oil industry. There's a good reason why Mexico doesn't trust Oil companies......especially American oil companys. -

I don't know where most of you live, but I recommend Lake Ray Roberts for sandies, catfish and black bass. And as for camping, you really can't beat the facilities there..... http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/findade...y_roberts_lake/ I recommend the Isle du Bois and Johnson Branch units. If you need a pontoon boat to rent, they have a good marina there..... http://www.rayrobertsmarina.com/ Or, you can contact me via PM. My record on LRR is 71 sandies. -

You don't have to drive two-cycle Mopeds. In fact, I don't think anyone makes two-cycle bikes anymore. http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/products...479/0/home.aspx http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/products...415/0/home.aspx http://powersports.honda.com/scooters/mode...ModelId=NSS2507 http://powersports.honda.com/scooters/mode...;ModelId=CN2507 Or, you can go with the company that invented the moped......Piaggio http://www.ecogeek.org/content/view/857/ -
The Police Files

"My mom is a good Christian woman, an upstanding citizen and church member for many, many years," Ms. Robinson said. Exchange "Man" for "woman" and I can't tell you the number of times that CPS has heard that when we are investigating child sexual abuse cases. In fact, when people blurt that out, it usually convinces the CPS investigator that the accused is definitely guilty. Since we are telling crazy client stories, here is one that gives you an insight into the thought processes of a sex offender. This happened many years ago, but it's still funny.....and at the same time very scary. CPS was investigating a sexual abuse case, and as part of the planning process for the case, the accused was sent to a psychologist for testing. This particular psychologist had once been a CPS investigator and had pretty much "seen it all" professionally. However, she couldn't help but share this with the group that had gathered later to review her findings. She gave this accused perpetrator a full battery of psychological tests, including what was then called the Rorschach or "Ink blot" test. This involves looking at random ink blot patterns/images and telling the psychologist what you see. Well, what this guy saw shocked even this experienced psychologist/former CPS investigator. Everything, was sex and violence......in very shocking (and disturbing) details. So when the psychologist sat down with the client, and interpreted the various battery of tests to him, she saved the Rorschach test for the last. She repeated all of his responses back to him, and then said to him that she was very concerned about these images of sex and violence that he saw on the pages. His response? "Well hell lady, they're your dirty pictures". This is just a small sample of the thought process (if you can call it that) that goes on with most of the people that Emmitt has to deal with. -

I remember reading several years ago (around 2000 when oil was about $27 per barrel) that the reason that the oil shale deposits in the Green River area of Colorado & Utah were not developed, was that it would cost about $60 per barrel to process. Were they blowing smoke up our collective rear-ends back then? I've read recently that new technology has been developed to extact that resource much more effeciently than what was known about in 2000. Why are we not talking about this resource? Most estimates put the deposits of oil there in the trillions of barrels. A few more thoughts. 1. India and China are causing the prices to go up? Even if their economies are "emerging", how the hell can they afford the ever increasing price of oil? Surely their economies are not "emerging/growing" that fast! 2. We will always be in some sort of crisis about fuel as long as we are in love with the automobile and have two or three of them. When I was growing up in Longview Texas during the 50's, it had a bus system. I could travel just about anywhere within the city limits using their bus system. Of course, it was a much safer and kinder time as well, since a child of 7 or 8 could ride a bus and not be bothered by anyone. However, in the 50's, Longview's population was somewhere around 30K. 3. We only have one long distant passenger rail service. Carrying people by rail is much more fuel effecient than carrying people by car and/or airplane. Before anyone takes a shot at AMTRAK for being subsidized........so is the airline industry. And they are not as restricted as AMTRAK. -
I'm guessing that the reason you see more Pit Bulls than Chows is cost. As someone mentioned earlier, you can go over to 183 by Ridgemar Mall and find Bubba selling (or giving away) Pit Bulls out of the back of his truck. My guess is that Chows are much more expensive to acquire. And BTW congratulations to the city of Fort Worth for banning the selling, and giving away, of dogs on the street.......like ol'Bubba over on 183. I'm all for holding the owners of Pitt Bulls responsible for the mayhem that their dogs cause. But most of those "owners" would deny ownership once their four legged phallic symbols do something horrible to some helpless person. That's just their cowardly (and low-life) nature. I join Rick in applauding the City and County of Denver for banning these dogs. Besides, it's the only time that I've seen Rick agree with a bunch of Liberals.

Nt Football 1958: Have We Really Upgraded The Program

The Dollies = The North Texas Dance Team. They just haven't been called "Dollies" for quite some time. -
...but can she out-party Jitter? I worked for the University one year on a crew that basically moved furniture and set up tables and chairs for special events. One of the events that we help set-up was at the President's house. When we went into the garage to get some "supplies" I was stunned at all the cases of wine, beer and liquor that were in there. That guy really knew how to........raise funds.

Note to self. Always wear gloves if an SMU grad ever wants to hand you some money.

For everyone with pre-teen daughters. Let's see if everyone feels the same when your daughters are 15, and they go to parties where the school star athlete(s) are in attendance. Not exactly an ideal "make-a-good-decision" time for a 15 year old girl.

I'll take some of those too.

Would You Pay $100 For A Spring Game Ticket?
SilverEagle replied to NT80's topic in Mean Green Football
I'd pay $100.00 for a ticket to a spring game if 80K North Texas fans showed up.......or 40K for that matter. -
If or OL situation doesn't get better by the first game of the season, the QB position will end up being determined by who can best run for his life.

I just love Southpark references. Cartman (Quoner): Okay, you guys, this joke has gone far enough! There were no aliens! They didn't give me an anal probe and they can't control my mind! Or, was this a "Nina" reference from "Passion Fish"..... Nina pauses dramatically) "I didn't ask for the anal probe." (pauses again) "I didn't ask for the anal probe!" (Pauses again, makes an angry face) "I didn't ask for the anal probe!" (Pauses, looks sad) "I didn't ask for the anal probe." (She breaks character.) That was it. Personally, I would like to see the BCS AND CONGRESS get an anal probe......the BCS first however.

We won't be able to tell until everyone on the o-line gets healthy and/or just gets here for fall practice. I will say however that I think that the d-line will be the most improved. Simply because they are now working under a real D-1 DC, and any improvement would be huge.
