  1. There's some life in there yet.
  2. We need to make the shots we're putting up.
  3. Dagnabbit. No free car wash tomorrow.
  4. Dude, even the band is off their game tonight.
  5. You should. If we keep playing like this, those'll be the only ones we have for a while.
  6. This is why we can't have nice things!
  7. See? The the team's discombobulated play is permeating the Pit.
  8. For the love of God, STOP MISSING SHOTS.
  9. Chew on... not nibble affectionately. 17-all with 9:22 left in the 1st half.
  10. UNT Prez getting his ear chewed on over there. Hmmm.
  11. Let's go, gents. Make the shots and free throws and don't foul.
  12. Couldn't capitalize on the missed Idaho FTs at the end. Blah.
  13. Idaho #21 fouled out. Bye, Felicia. Seriously, that is absurd.
  14. They're either getting paid by the whistle or ridiculously picky.
  15. Dagnabbit for Brown.
  16. How many free throws have we missed? Blargh.
  17. Whoop! Homegirl smoked that dude in the halftime competition.
  18. Tied at the half, even.
  19. Good Lord, this is a messy game. Fouls, missed shots, traveling...
  20. Jeez. Steal the ball and then lose it... blah.
  21. Idaho with 5 team fouls in the first 2 minutes and 7 in the first 4. Who does that?!?
  22. This is not what that email was about. A "minister" of some kind was literally screaming at people, getting in their faces, and really unnerving people with threats, both veiled and blatant. He did not do this only to students, but to UNT staff and faculty as well. There were a whole lot of complaints. This guy was hard to just ignore. Yes, First Amendment and whatnot, I know. The First Amendment prevents the government with interfering with your right to free speech. It does not, however, shield you from repercussions when you exercise that right and it negatively affects others, putting them in the position of feeling the need to protect themselves. I'm guessing that the letter from the President-- and any other actions he took, which I know nothing about-- were steps he took to protect UNT students, faculty, and staff.
  23. We went and had a good time. It's obvious that the kinks still need to be worked out, but there were some real bright spots.
  24. McNulty was better today than he was at SMU, yes, but (a) he still had issues and (b) the entire team played sloppily. That loss was just deplorable. Making mistakes that really shouldn't have been made at all, etc.
  25. I did see the Merit Scholar time-out and thought that was really great. UNT Prez is really pushing to attract more to come here. oldguy, those were current students who have enrolled. They're just baby Eagles. Of course, my family got asked today if we were up for Parents' Weekend, and our boys are still in high school... and I'm the student... *half-sigh half-laugh*
