  1. The DA's office will appreciate his assistance with their argument, and if his case falls into the "wrong" court, well... In the criminal justice system, there are repercussions for dishonesty *and* honesty.
  2. That's pretty much every argument I've ever heard for the move all in one place.
  3. Everything I hear still leads me to think he'll want to stay close to home. We'll see (and cross our fingers). He's a great talent, if a bit immature, particularly in the locker room. That too shall pass.
  4. This is exactly the type of review that was requested; objective and comprehensive. My understanding is that's what has been/is being provided to the Prez/etc.
  5. Hated the heans and rice, and in the last few years, we found service lacking. But the entrees were always good, and Mike is a good guy. It sounds like he'll land on his feet just fine. I appreciate him for trying to make things as right as he can for his employees.
  6. Congrats to Mr. Baker (and to us all) on the hire. Welcome to the Mean Green family.
  7. In my humble opinion: Overall favorite: Kreuz Market in Lockhart Best bbq turkey: Black's in Lockhart. It can be really tough to barbecue turkey without drying it out, and they figured it out. Best bbq Frito pie: Rusty Star outside Waco (brisket and some sauce instead of chili, beans, jalapeños, Fritos, onions) Best chicken: Lately, probably Bet the House. Best burnt ends: Kreuz Market when you can get 'em, but Salt Lick will do Best beans: Smitty's in Lockhart (I don't really like their meats as much as I do the other two places in Lockhart) Best ribs outside of Lockhart: Pizzitola's in Houston Best sausage wraps: Probably Meyer's Smokehouse in Elgin. Southside Market changed theirs... ugh. Hard Eight in Roanoke does a good job. Cooper's in Fort Worth is good, but man, that's a drive. Riscky's must have changed their sausage recipe or provider. I had some at an event last weekend and it was like eating hot bologna covered in thin sauce. No bueno. As for Dickey's, I'll take their food any old day, and twice on Sunday, over friggin' Spring Creek... ugh.
  8. Yeah, I just saw on another thread that they came to a settlement on Friday, so we're done, aren't we?
  9. Well, how desperate are we? I kid, I kid...
  10. That's... interesting, I guess. Hope he's happy there. Maybe he likes Cajun food?
  11. Well, there we go. Sounds like he accomplished his mission, so to speak.
  12. What a great thing. Hopefully UNT can take a hint from that school down I-45.... this is really great.
  13. Yes. The grand jury reviews all felonies. The whole key to this one was the 11-month-old in the car.
  14. Yeah, it isn't cheap, but I'm willing to bet that RV could afford it, and probably bought into it a long time ago. Looking at what shooter posted, he might be eligible for early-age retirement anyway.
  15. You're forgetting that he had the ability to pay in and buy service credit. I used to work for a state agency where you could do that once you'd been employed with them for 10 years. If he bought service credit, his age plus actual service may, in fact, add up to 80... which makes him eligible for normal age retirement.
  16. The young man from Nigeria, if football "clicks" with him, will be a beast. They've got a few newish o-linemen who are pretty big; one of them's got to be over 250 and maybe 6'4" or 5".
  17. Actually, it's growing. It ain't what it could be, or should be, yet, but they've gotten a few bigger kids lately.
  18. ^ Yeah, I'm kinda curious about that, too.
  19. That kid is going to make some football program very happy. Hope it's this one. He's not a one-trick pony.
  20. Found this on CoogFans... have never been to this site before a few minutes ago, but daaaaaaaaamn. Harry, you may find this inappropriate for the forum, but you won't hurt my feelings if you delete the link. http://isartbrilesfiredyet.com/
  21. Doubtful. There's been a magical ban on horcrux creation since the Battle of Apogee last Halloween.
