  1. This is great....the pre-game show is going to be an hour. Also, TD's show from Hooter's and his weekly press conference will be aired live on KNTU. From Meangreensports.com: http://www.meangreensports.com/ViewArticle...;ATCLID=1157664

  4. Okay, fair enough. Did you see the whole show? If so, the segment on dogfighting sickened me.
  5. G Money, since you're a former player, who is in good with Coaches Dodge and Lacroix, I'm sure that you can go to any scrimmage you want to. And, you probably wouldn't have to stand behind the fence, if you wanted to go to a practice. So, I don't see that you're really in the same boat, as the rest of us fans. And that being said, I don't remember anyone on here, bitching about not being able to go to today's scrimmage. So, why you felt the need to reopen a sore spot (with some of us), is beyond me. And yes, OU doesn't need the publicity. WE DO. As I recall, we have about 15,000 empty seats (on average) at games. And Coach Dodge, just willing that Fouts be filled....doesn't mean that it's going to happen. Anyway, I hope Dodge's "Us Against the World" philosophy works better than the last guy's.
  6. I agree that Gumble is bad as a play-by-play announcer. And, I personally don't agree with his politics. But, his sports journalism show, "HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumble", is to me, the best sports journalism on TV today. He has great reporters, (Frank Deford, Bernard Goldberg, Mary Carillo, James Brown, Andrea Kramer and others) who are allowed to spend 12-15 minutes on a subject...instead of the 2-3 minute reports that you might see on ESPN. And btw, there is no way, that he offered up softball questions to PacMan Jones. Curious, did you watch this interview or have you just seen quotes from it?

  8. A little more info about Kedrick from the official site: http://www.meangreensports.com/ViewArticle...;ATCLID=1153557

  10. According to DCTF (2006), Hebron coach Brian Brazil says that center Blaine McBride "isn't the biggest center, but there aren't many better." He's grown, btw...in DCTF he was listed as only 5' 10, 230. As I recall, Andy Brewster was fairly small when he came to Denton......and he sure worked out for us.
  11. I would guess that Brett Barrow, is the son of our new Director of Football Operations, Mark Barrow (who moved here from California). That's just a guess, though.
  12. After meeting academic requirements in summer school, Eddrick has been cleared to play---according to a small blurb in today's Ft. Worth paper. I guess that means he can start practicing now. Some times, you have to wait on the NCAA for final clearance----I hope that's not the case. Hope he's back out there today.

  15. This is from meangreensports.com. I guess that both of these young ladies will have to sit out this season. Right? Anyway, I love the attitude of the assistant coach who is quoted. Here's the story: http://www.meangreensports.com/ViewArticle...;ATCLID=1151548
  16. I like those standards. I guess, if implemented....that means we'd have to sell 7500 season tickets. Also, one of the proposals for men's and women's basketball, is that the SBC schools would ONLY play Division I opponents. That would be a great move.
  17. Here's the complete story from today's DRC. Toward the end, JJ says that we will go into this season, with just the players we have.....and that the recruiting will focus on signees for the class of 2008. So, in other words, there will be no late additions (PGs or big men). Here's the story: http://www.dentonrc.com/sharedcontent/dws/...1.23238601.html
  18. From what I read....Johnny was going to be given a 1-day tryout to see what the Saints thought about him. So, I haven't heard...how he did. And, whether or not, he was signed after the tryout.
  19. That was great, Steve. Thanks for sharing it with the rest of us.
  20. 1221 to be exact. PC finished with 4050 yds. J-Mo has 2830 at this point.
  21. Since Woodward is gone, I wonder if punter, Truman Spencer might pull double duty (as our punter and placekicker). According to the media guide he was 1st team All District his junior and senior seasons (as a punter and placekicker). He had a long FG of 52 yards at Mesquite Horn.
  22. Thank God, that we have brave men like FFR who are willing to fight fires. Who you gonna call if your place ever catches on fire"? So maybe keep your slams of firemen to yourself. And by the way dude.....you're the retard who thinks "Come on" is spelled "Common." I'm guessing your IQ might be in the 80s. Not much higher.
  23. I just read that Cat Osterman signed on, as an assistant s-ball coach for DePaul. It'd be nice to have a "name" like that...on our staff.
  24. That's great...thanks for the info, Greenmom. Good luck, Johnny!
  25. #66 is a big o lineman...probably the tallest one out there. I was wondering if he's that late signee from Pennsylvania. He and Evyn Roman (?) are neither one in the media guide, since they signed late. Evyn will be wearing #37........I do know that.
