i've got one on my roof that i've been trying to find a reason to get rid of for years. no sense in ever using it since fios is awesome. how would i know if it is directv compatible? maybe it's got a big label on it

a big congratulations to the prince of darkness for his new recruit... unfortunately, rivals and espn currently have him rated fairly low and nobody feels he has the size to be a force in the paint. you better spend some extra time teaching the outside jumper for him to amount to anything.

Thanks Green P1... wife and I decided to visit Mi Ranchito for the first time this evening. at first she was afraid to get out of the car, but everything was cool after she had a bite of enchilada. sopapillas were greatness

if you don't have a camper/rv with some A/C I wish you the best of luck falling asleep that night. I'll pray that it won't still be mid 80's after midnight. The Hill should be packed with frat & sorrority for quite a while if they plan on doing pep-rallies there the night before the games. recommendation - why sleep when you can just have a round robin 24 hour corn-hole tourney

Answers for parking/tailgating

"Gas and charcoal grills with covers are permitted. Grills should be two feet in diameter or less and a minimum of two feet off the ground. Open flames are prohibited. Containers will be provided in tailgate areas for the disposal of hot coals." -
all of tech's Goin Band literature says they top 400+ haven't done my research on the rest of the big 12.

I hope and pray that we allow at least 300 of them to march on gameday. 370 is just 100 short of FSU's chiefs, the "so-called" largest marching band in the ncaa. However, I'm sure Clubber Lang would refer to them as a "paper champion" when comparing their sound quality with the GB.

I have trouble finding anything on chuy's menu that truly stands out from the competition besides the mexican martini. I would drive from Denton to Grapevine just for Baja's tamales and margaritas alone. Their chimichangas, enchiladas, all taco varieties (especially brisket) have also been worth the trip. It's a shame that mi cocina gets so much praise for their margaritas in the dfw area and baja gets such little credit. I would even argue that blue goose has a better frozen house margarita than anything cocina throws together. Those fries really are skinny! They always taste good the first 5 minutes but get too cold after that.

1 cockroach incident a few years ago has prevented me from returning to matador. milpa is so aggravating - great salsa/queso/chips, tasty deserts, competitively priced drinks... but then they have the nerve to serve bland entrees. they are also plagued by the same gnat infestation as hooligans. my wife and i go there for happy hours occasionally.

It was a good run of +'s for me but I fully realize the -1's I am about to invite. Fuzzy's is a chain... and not even a good one. The DFW area alone consists of 26 of them including the one in Sherman. The greater Houston area where our guests will be traveling from already has 3. In fact, the chain is as far north as Madison, WI and as far west as Tempe, AZ. If we want to recommend Fuzzy's, we may as well also include Taco Cabana, Olive Garden, and Dairy Queen as a Denton Must-See attraction. If we must recommend a chain with Dallas area headquarters, I would prefer we send them to Baja in Grapevine or Blue Goose in Highland Village for some quality mexican food. Our Fuzzy's is most likely supporting Fort Worth as much as it is Denton. We are currently suffering through a local mexican food drought in Denton which Austin based Chuy's is not helping. I truly wish that either guapo's or mazatlan could resolve this issue but constantly finding small bones in every meal and not providing a good margarita has ruined their chances. I'll stick with pushing Metzler's, Rooster's, and J&J's until a true mexican food contender can step up and be worthy of my recommendation. I just wish Casa Galaviz had more to offer than great breakfast burritos. Love Shack is delicious and I'm proud the so-called "tool" owner is from here, but we are the 3rd and I have a terrible feeling that place will be all over the state in no time.

When will the full basketball schedule be released including OOC games/tournaments?

I see so many of ya'll recommending Fuzzy's. Are we sure we want Houston fans clogging up our nice brand new clean toilets with VIOLENT WHITE QUESO DIARRHEA? We may as well send them to Pancho's if we want them eating mediocre chain restaurant food that is guaranteed to trigger montezuma's revenge. I hope they bring plenty of this...

exactly where am i supposed to wear a red polo with a sun belt logo on it and not be mistaken for a ULL, DU, ULM, UALR, ASU, USA, FAU, WKU or Troy fan??? i knew this survey was a bad idea.

about 7 years ago i visited the mounts & mccallister gym's at calhoun. they still smelled awful but for some reason the stench is nowhere near as overpowering as stricklands gym/bathroom. please don't ask why i was somewhat recently in a middle school boys locker room... if you had the opportunity, i'm sure you would visit too.

I'm fine with whatever the band wants to play. turn the speakers and generic music off, its all been done before. how about we keep a little bit of pageantry in the new stadium?
-
did the selwyn gym get rid of the carpet floor? i hope anyone that played denton city-league elementary bball during the 80's appreciates that. heaven help your team if your coach didnt reserve half of one of the smelly calhoun gym's that week. i think my knee caps still have some small scars from the burns.

we should make our fans fill some seats first before allowing them to watch it comfortably at home for free

Labb and RT's would make sense if they both didnt smell like lung cancer as soon as you open the door. Love Shack, Metzlers, and Rooster's are great but they could only seat about 4 of us. My vote is for anything but Buffalo Wild & Mediocre Wings. Wings are meant to be served alongside a roll of paper towels and MUST be served on a platter stable enough to support their girth. Not with a couple of flimsy napkins and presented in a long john silvers paper basket.
