Any confirmation of Cuban showing up
Maduro replied to ScreamingEaglesFan's topic in Mean Green Football
Exact same thing happened to me but it was a wedding reception. Wife said we had to leave at 8:00 but I talked her into letting me stay a couple series after the field goal. I've been giving the groom H-E-double hockey sticks ever since we got the invitation a few months ago. Who in their freaking mind plans any type of event from September - December??? I was considerate enough to wait and get married on January 12... and that was at 10:00 AM before any NFLplayoff games started! -
Mike Marshall might be my new favorite to watch. Whenever we kickoff pay close attention to #15. Freshman from South Grand Prairie

last game i did skirt steak fajitas but i'm going a different direction this time. grilled chicken breast sandwiches - spicy garlic rub w/ extra virgin olive oil (applied friday night), bacon wrapped (pray the toothpicks hold), and assorted cheese slices melted on top. the random junk food will be the same as usual... sour cream & onion chips, oreos (double stuff always), possibly a box of little debbie Fall themed cakes Beverage: leftover 90 proof coconut rum, new handle of whiskey (nothing special, just cheap canadian mist since its in a plastic bottle), cans of dos equis now that's snap a couple weeks ago my tailgate neighbors had the courage to bring bottled beer out in public. i thought i once read that glass bottles were not permitted anywhere. if i'm wrong, i can't even start to comprehend the beer/liquor gameday possibilities. what does everyone else have lined up?

i took one for the team today... turned down 1 ticket to the company suite and chose to stick it out with the wife in 205. hopefully whoever else they invite decides that they enjoy it and wants to possibly buy a ticket to another game with family. besides, i'll be too intoxicated from tailgating to deal with "work" folk and possibly introducing myself to anyone in the hallways with Cuban's status. i can now continue to yell as loud as i want in the open air without anyone judging.

The Diablo III Beta Is Now Live

After 3.5 years of playing I chose to not renew my WoW account and it expired this past Saturday. I slowly weaned myself off of it since June and am very proud to say that I had not logged in since August. Along with my brother and a couple friends, we did D1 & 2 for what seems like a full decade (to the point we were selling runes and open socket weapons through paypal). Starcraft was mixed in here and there but RTS's just weren't the same. I'm currently giving Starcraft 2 the opportunity that I didn't give it last year while also attempting to rejoin the console world. Red Dead Redemption has been my xbox project for the past couple weeks and it has been wonderful. I'm sure D3 will be delayed a few more times (like all blizzard products) but we may see a finished product by Spring or Summer. I last saw a New Year's Eve release date, that or earlier would be a miracle. SW: Old Republic will be coming out in less than 2 months but I fear trying non-Blizzard products (if you ever tried guild wars, EQ, or galaxies you know what i'm talking about). -
I'm hoping the Sat, Jan 14 @ ULM is scheduled as an afternoon game. This would allow a nice dice-throwing break at the shoe during the drive home.

that's my quarterbacks

cliche time: if you have 3 quarterbacks... you have no quarterbacks.

sad that we will have to take a month long break from 11/11 to 12/10. christmas time is already busy enough without 6 games in 2 weeks and the students/band will probably be gone for most of those. that's a lot of home court advantage we will be losing behind the visitor bench.
-
i bet that is about right but I'm hoping Williams shows enough in practice to warrant a spot in that 5.

nice work, you showed them whose boss

did my research this time and found this article FIU Basketball Article "Coach Thomas issued a statement regarding Dierickx. “We are thrilled to have Gilles come play here at FIU. He will be a tremendous addition to our team. His size and athleticism is impressive. He is the type of player that is not afraid to be aggressive down low both on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. At 6 feet 11 inches, 240 lbs, we are happy to have Gilles as a member of the FIU family.” This was a huge pickup for Coach Thomas, considering that they lost 6-foot-8-inch” big man Eric Frederic. Frederick has chosen not to play for FIU this upcoming season for unspecified reasons, and it is unclear where he will play."
-
my concern is how our new backcourt will handle this matchup. obviously, josh & dominique learned a few lessons from the first game I don't know how quick Norris is but hopefully he can keep up with these guys. also, i didn't see FIU's big guy Eric Frederick on their roster. I thought he was just a junior last season?
-
yes... Taylor and Gantt were their leading scorers (32 combined) and Hank made the call on the radio sound like they owned us. even 2 other guards combined for 23 that night while their forwards did next to nothing. it scares me that T&G are only juniors, but at least Tucker should graduate this year.

It seemed like last year there was a lot of talent in the Sun Belt and I'm just wondering how the other teams are looking. FIU had recruits from Michigan (thanks to Isiah) to Arkansas and a big guy that was just about dominant (but a loudmouth). FAU's guards torched us at home (only game i missed... thanks ice) and we were probably lucky to not run into them in the conference tournament. How will our new guards handle that situation? UALR has to be considered a threat and even Denver was decent in conference play. Who are some of the other impressive players/teams we should worry about? less than 2 months away and i can't even wait for the exhibition game

we know that your school has a great fan base that will travel to road games, but unfortunately, the river won't drop you off at Apogee. thankfully, we were nice enough to come to your place.

i am near 206 so you may have also heard from some guy a few rows behind me. after the security guard learned his lesson, some defenseless bystander on the way to his seat got sidetracked at the bottom of the steps and decided to watch a play... they quickly opened fire on him.

you must have been near me at the bottom of 205
