    The win against Rice yesterday was metaphor of perseverance for Littrell and the Mean Green this season. After starting the year 2-3, the team has bounced back winning four of its last six to crawl back into the conference championship game. I know Coach McCarney would have been proud of Seth battling back and facing his adversity head on. Why not North Texas? Why not North Texas?

    I really think it will be that he was able to get us to 5 bowl games out of 7 seasons. That’s a very remarkable accomplishment don't you think? I wish him nothing but the very best in the future.

    Very important game for the program. We can clinch a spot in the conference championship game against our nemesis UTSA. Will likely mean Seth will remain our head coach for some tome to come.

    Agree that the 12 team playoff changes the whole conference expansion thing in a big time way. Getting the 12 team playoff was a huge positive for the G5 brand!

    I agree with you @GrayEagle my only hope is they handle it with class and dignity. Things they sadly did not choose to do with Dan McCarney..

    To me that is all this is. Berkley is trying to leverage the Big 10 to include them as well. My guess is they will ultimately achieve that.

    Any interest in Barry Odom? He and Wren have a history as well.

    I would take Skip as well but I think we can even do better than him. Skip did much better in recruiting with WAY lower resources than Littrell has.

    I think this one may constitute 95% of what is required here. Not to belabor the point, but we are sitting in a gigantic hotbed of talent. How fun would it be to have a person running this program that brings a proven system on how to best mine it? I get so tired of hearing what a great offensive mind Littrell has and yet if you don't have the players it really doesn't matter that much. And the crazy thing is the big time recruiter does not have to be the head coach! Sonny Dykes is not a great recruiter, he couldn't sell his way out of paper bag. But he has a system and he hired the right guys to implement it. Littrell has never gotten this right and he never will.

    No expert but it looks like Mac's recruiting has really fallen off which makes an injury to Tylor so much worse for us. Meanwhile, UAB, WKU, Tech and others are super deep with talent. This has the making of a very long season.
