  1. Are you the evil ninja hiding in my garden? Who, me?
  2. Cleveland Steamer sounds delicious (yes, I AM setting you up here)...what's in it?
  3. Geez, I keep forgetting Fitzgerald isn't graduating. Imagine if he gets even better. A mountain man on the team? Cool. Will he make little MacGyver traps all over the field to mess with the other team?
  4. Uhm...was that bikinis on the "babes" or "babies"? Oh well, we can just put bikinis on the cheese.
  5. Depending on how old he is and how long he goes to jail, this could actually remove him from the gene pool.
  6. I know emmitt01 and CMJ. I think that's it, but so few people use their real names. I've known who Rick was since not long after I got to Denton, but we've never met. Who else is actually friendly (no, not like that) with other people on here?
  7. Hell, we could have a few calendars. Babes, babies, and...uhm...cheese (?). Emmitt makes a good point. What about football babies in watermelons?
  8. That's pretty close to what we (my drunk friends and I) worked out. 16 teams, the top few bowls are still the traditional bowls, and all the others are still there and are as meaningless as they are now. BTW Buckeye, that's a great pic.
  9. Gross. Have you guys ever seen what somebody looks like when their pec tears really badly?
  10. What about a calendar or something with babies in little UNT outfits? It would be something women and older fans would probably like a lot. Not to generalize or anything, that would just be the likely target audience. We could have a photo shoot and UNT press could publish it, then proceeds could go to the Athletics Department. I NEVER thought of stuff this cheesy till I was a father, by the way.
  11. I agree...especially with that last part, since I already said it Starting next year when Carter is 1 should be a good time to get the family into the groove of going to the games together. Until 2005 I was living in Denton, so it was easier then. Then I moved to FW and OKC and worked almost every game day, now I'm in GP...so by next fall it should be easy enough to make sure we're open for game days. My wife is pumped, she couldn't believe how much the campus has changed since the 90's. It's good to have a Mean Green family
  12. I don't know about you guys, but I think 2 years of 1.8 mil would last me comfortably for the rest of my life.
  13. That's great. We forgot our signs that said "spell Tulsa backwards" in 2005.
  14. I saw the ad on CNN or something before it actually debuted on TV. I thought it was a joke. One of the funniest things I've ever seen.
  15. It's not hard to find, just not very big.
  16. Isn't Briles' record the same as Fran's?
  17. You know what? Screw it, let's go for it. Which stations reported on our AD and HC being racist? If they're REALLY investigative reporters, THEY can give us an answer.
  18. I followed it, but never heard the outcome. If anybody has an in with the NAACP, I'd like to hear from you. Ericka Cain, the NAACP VP for Texas, was noted in one of the articles, and is one of ours, and graduated with me in 2002. I can never get an email back from her, but I think it's routed through somebody else. Either that, or she thinks a couple of her friends were right in thinking I was a racist for running for SGA with my black best friend. So of course I would like to know not only what happened with the UNT investigation, but the NAACP one as well.
  19. We (family) agree. There is nothing more intimidating than scoring and then walking away like you do it all the time. Celebrations make it seem like a big deal. Handshakes or shoulder-slaps are fine. Just make it seem like it's not a big deal. What do you have to be excited about? Maybe if it's your first TD or some special occasion or record, shake your fist or something, jump up and down a couple of times. But if it's just a TD or an INT or punt return for a TD, hand the ball to the ref and walk away, maybe shake some hands or high-five. It should be a natural thing, and if you do it a few times, the other team thinks so too. I think if I saw a team that didn't celebrate all season, but still had fun, that would be scary as hell. Like, "oh, crap, we're gonna get beat" scary, not like, "too fat to leave the house" scary.
  20. Hell, when our guys did "the grenade" (didn't know it was called that till today) against Baylor, the crazy refs called back the touchdown...
  21. I'll volunteer to discipline the head coach
  22. Maybe they should just make your guys carry it around in a case that can't be broken by anything less than a sledgehammer. Oh, the irony.
  23. So...can't the Sun Belt point it out to the NCAA? That seems like a realistic bureaucratic notion.
  24. ...and as far as I know, there is nothing that says that W-L records are what determine whether you make it. Infractions like this should be a key as well. Maybe we could (instead of just saying we will) actually petition the AD, SBCComm, etc to make sure that this kind of crap is taken into account when they decide whether or not to allow them to move up. Does anybody know anything more about this possibility?
  25. How about next time we play them, we get Tommy Noggle (infamous in the Denton party scene from about 1998 to about 2002) to get his friends and their Girls Gone Wild t-shirts and videocameras again... Then we can have our own Hilltopper Shaven.com... LOL
