In addition to this, I saw some of the Tech - Sam Houston game, and SHSU might have 2 QBs better than any on our roster.

And I think it's 80% So. Miss fans. The upgrades inside the stadium look really nice. Although, I don't think the building outside in front of the stadium is part of their athletic facilities. I also like the overhang 2nd level, which I know is mainly in the older 'smaller' stadiums and probably would've cost more to have at Apogee. Just looks and feels bigger. That's what she said.

Yet much better than our starter. Some people are capable of seeing progress, and some aren't I guess. Our offense couldn't move the ball against a meh Texas team. Smu, was able to move the ball vs a ranked team better than we have this decade. So yeah, we are going to notice that. Ultimately it was one half of one game. We will see on the field. But I think SMU showed more skill than most of us anticipated. We will all be there cheering on our team next week regardless. These are just observations of one game.

This game got out of control, but SMU was much better than anyone expected. I was hoping it would stay close and Mac would think " Hm, maybe there is something to this whole offense thing..." Not likely. We will need to be much improved if we have any ideas of winning next week.

Observations: 1) I know we criticize him on here, but man, he sure is defensive. 2) Listening to him talk about the schedule was pretty frustrating. He couldn't even remember it without it in front of him. 3) Memphis? Meh. 4) He seems really out of touch at times. Especially when discussing the uniforms. 5) Great news about donations and facilities upgrades. 6) I agree with him about the indoor football facility. 7) Put your money where your mouth is...ok.

That's in Boise, not Texas near a major pro market. And to your third point, you're right but not for the reason you think. FIU and MTSU bring as much notoriety as the other 2 to most people. Students - if they care about sports at all - want to play teams they've heard of and schools where their friends go. The students who don't know any better are the same ones who disappear after they graduate.

Hopefully that number doubles when you include walk-up, stubhub, and other online sales.

And they already had a 2-1 with Tech. There's a post like this every week, and people still don't get it and want to make excuses. FYI, we have a 5 game home schedule this year with no return game. Our scheduling is atrocious.

Sweet. Now let's schedule a 1-1 with Colorado St. in 2020 & 2021 to finish out the schedule, instead of spending 1/3 of that money to bring in an FCS.

1. Remove the oval partition that separates the seating from the floor. (At least on the sidelines. Just fix the floor seating like everyone else has said.) 2. Redo the entrances and concourses. 3. Fix the lighting 4. Fix the internal and external signage. Outdoor banners are a good idea. 5. Update the concessions.

You're missing the point. I don't think most of us want those teams either. We want games against "beatable" p5 teams. There are plenty to choose from. You chose one in Vandy, but not sure what the heck is up with the rest of your desired teams list. In summary, more Houston/Indiana, less FCS at home and 2-0 vs Iowa.

I'm so tired of seeing this. It's in every thread on this site. First of all, duh. Secondly, per this specific discussion, scheduling teams that people want to see at home and that you might potentially have a chance to beat is part of winning and relevance.
