The only reason why I like FSU is because of the attendance we would get of possibly having Denton-Ryan Mario Edwards and Denton-Ryan Scotty Young playing against each other in 2013/2014. That is of course if Scotty comes to UNT.

Not having baseball and mens soccer or tennis right now at North Texas does hurt us a little. I know we can show CUSA baseball in the master plan at the MGVillage but, it would be better to show we are breaking ground on a baseball stadium. I also found its interesting that Kentucky and South Carolina plays in CUSA for mens soccer. Colorado College in womens soccer. There is no basketball only schools in CUSA in mens or womens.

Decide on whether you can get Temple to the CUSA East. If not, add FAU and/or MTSU to the East add UTSA and/or Texas State-SM to the West

The answer is DUH! We have DT who would be a Senior in 2013 before S.Y. would be eligible. S. Young would have to sit out the 2012 season but would have 2 years left as a Junior (RS). Young used his red shirt his freshman year at Tech so that would not be available for him here. We never had a 2nd string QB this year, we all know that. Cooper Jones will get his shot and we will see if the others woke up the morning of the spring game and learned how to play QB. D.T. is a good QB yes but why not have a Scotty Young who could finally get Denton off their arses at home and into Appogee?!? This works out perfect, it gives Scotty a chance to: -learn Chico's offense for his year he has to sit out and adjust to the new campus -play at home in front of his family and friends -FINALLY get some support we desperately need from the near 100,000 of the Denton community. -Get some interest from the Denton HS players. Showing that it is a great opportunity to stay in town at a magnificent University in your own backyard and the opportunity to play in one of the best stadiums in the country. This would make us feel very comfortable knowing in 2013 we have a DT as a senior and a Scotty Young going head to head for the starting position.

The fact that the student section have chairbacks is the problem. Its too easy for students to just sit back and watch rather than participate. Plus when you have all the kids sitting behind you, you refrain from wanting to stand up because it will block the others behind them. If/When we get a new Super Pit or renovation, I hope we just have a dedicated student section with bleachers.

At this point, I don't think we need to worry about what year of QB we get whether its a freshman or transfer. As long as they are ready to compete for a 2nd string position because we diddn't have one who could handle the reigns of that last year. We dont have a good track record of keeping QB healthy for a full season but this past season was improved with a great young OL. Still, we need a QB that can compete with DT because Osborn and McNulty were 3rd string quality as best.

Just a refresher on Cooper Jones 6'4'' 205 Was named District 6-2A MVP his senior season … Threw for 2,418 yards and 29 touchdowns and added six scores on the ground … Was nominated for the Army All-American Bowl and received honorable hention all-state honors … Was named first-team all-district as a defensive back and wide receiver in his sophomore season. Cooper would be on the lightest of our TE if he did get moved there. Otto is at 5'11'' but 215. After this season of the QB, we all know we never had one outside of Thompson. I would guess we will find out in the spring game who will still be at QB. Let's just hope we have more to work with this season if DT goes down.
