Some of y'all need to step back and look at the big picture... How many of y'all play golf and get frustrated when you keep on hitting slice or pulling the ball? I've thrown my wedge multiple times in frustration (10 yards or so towards the cart) when I hit it a little thin and it helps me not forget to pick up my club. Thats not abnormal, especially when you have a competitive mentality. Hes never beaten his dad and is trying to do so every time hes on the course. Sounds a lot like me, I still cant beat my dad on the course but I try every time and understand the frustration when you hit a bad shot. If you think about it, the guy is an awesome football player and has the instinct you cant teach. Now playing another sport that doesnt come easy and you think he has anger management issues because he swears after hitting a bad shot, Come on. Could he handle it a little better, of course but its not unreasonable. I cant forget that drinking a couple beers or drinks, results in him having drinking problem. I must be an idiot because I forgot that most of y'all are perfect and never mess up. To be honest, I think most of the poster are envious of Johnny football because of the money. Its one of the reasons why you hate SMU, people say its not but it is. I'm sure no one on this board would get upset if their car got keyed, I mean that just unreasonable.

The reason why DT doesn't get interceptions is because he's throwing it to the uprights.- 29 replies

First off, that's just sad. To have DT finish top 5 in all categories, he's thrown for 4531 yards, 26 TD, 21 INT and 9 wins. Another reason why no one knows of North Texas- 29 replies

Some questions for those pro-fans who travel
Dr. Seuss replied to Christopher Walker's topic in Mean Green Football
Dont go to Ohio, thats the first thing. Georgia, would be a good time. Experience a good atmosphere, good tailgate and beautiful Georgia ladies with accents that will.... (fill in the blanks) Nola would be my choice, one you can get more people to go with you. What makes any road trip is your group. Two, better chance of a win, going to road trips and losing doesnt make a good drive home. Now tickets, for all road trips we always got tickets from the players.. Not sure if you know any but thats the best way. Theyre free and you sit in the Unt section. If you dont know any players, order them through athletics and youll be with the UNT section Now either driving or flying, that would be up to you and how much money you have. Flying is always nicer but if you go with a group, driving isnt that bad. Driving to Athens would be a haul but driving to Nola isnt bad, and more money to spend on the blackjack table -
Where do you live/family: Dallas, TX. No wife, no kids, no problems Degree/Year attended/graduated UNT: Economics 2013 Favorite NT Memory: Cant say on a public board Favorite NT Sports Memory: Our tailgate for the home opener against Houston, planned a great fraternity tailgate, had an awesome time. 2nd would be our first trip to Hot Springs back in 2010, went on the bus trip. I persuaded 2 deans to let me get a hotel at the Austin to stay the night and ride back with them the next day. Took a lot of persuading but I got the job done and we left Hot Springs with our Belt. 3rd our road trip to Clemson

Kram, I dont think anyone wants UNT to have less than 6 wins, but when you bet or predict you play the number not the team...5.5 is quite high for this team

Here's my only stance.. I'm a broker for a financial firm, our company won't hire thieves but they'll look the other way if you have a DWI. If FIRNA and the SEC don't need to disclose DWI's but they will disclose a a thief incident on broker check, I guess it's not that bad

I was thinking today, what's worst.. 10 Consecutive NFL drafts a UNT Football player has not been drafted, or Cleveland Browns 10 consecutive seasons without making it in the playoffs??? To me it's UNT, reason it takes a team to win games, but you're telling me not 1 player in 10 years has enough talent to be drafted. Who does that reflect poorly on... The players, the coaches, or just possible both? Don't get me wrong, Craig and Lance are friends of mine, I think very highly of them. But that's just 2 gems that fell threw the crack, where's everyone else?

OU QB Transfer Drew Allen, (6-5, 210) Alamo Heights
Dr. Seuss replied to Harry's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
Can we first get back to back wins, and then we'll start talking about a bowl game... What is it now 8 years in a row we haven't won B2B games? -
DT has made more mistakes than any other position.. He was top 10 in the BCS for least sacks, and he cant run. Threw 14 TDs and 14 Ints, and from what I remember they werent a lot of tip balls or anything, just bad passes. Throws off of his back foot 85% of the time. Cant get his eye off one WR. He almost made a field goal from the 25 yard line, and he had a wide open receiver. He doesnt have great footwork. Doesnt have a tight spiral nor that accurate. The only reason why DT has won the starting job is because they cant get anyone else, besides BB and we will see how the QB battle goes in the fall. Dont get me wrong, hes a great guy. I was all over the DT bandwagon when he was battling Tune Daddy, but I made a mistake and Ill move on to the next guy.

I couldnt make it to the game, but from what im hearing; it was pretty uneventful. No real playmakers, nothing special, just the same ole below average Mean Green.

Enfield is getting 6 years a million plus a year... Not to bad for a coach who made 157k last year.

Great article from Ryne Gannoe, pretty rare from the NT Daily http://wordpress1.cws.unt.edu/?p=3331 In the offseason, Robertson still works out at the Mean Green facilities and watches spring practices when he can make it. Robertson said he wants the Mean Green to have role models. “For our school it’s somebody for these guys to look up to,” Robertson said. “There were some guys who went to the league before I came, but not very many guys went to the league when I was here.”

Not the same, the fake one has an underscore

You play to WIN the game.... Thats it
-
And not to mention he had 20+ win seasons in 4 out of 5 seasons in Minnesota... Only one could hope we could land Tubby. Edit... Real programs do this "To part ways with Smith, Minnesota made the financial commitment in having to pay a $2.5 million buyout that was negotiated into a contract extension that Smith signed last July that was to keep him with the team through the 2016-17 season. Making the buyout more of an issue is the university is still paying buyouts for former basketball coach Dan Monson and former football coach Tim Brewster."
