Ive talked to Mr. Trice about it and said the same thing.

Like someone said before. If Chico is able to put a couple W's on the board, it will look good on his resume. It's 5 years too late, we need to change the whole staff.

Some forget how lucky we were to have Tobe, Craig and Zac at MLB.... Yet, the only HC not to recruit an NFL MLB is Dan McCarney
-
UNT is now 1-6 ATS, as long at you got it as +27.5 or higher... small victories

You can't coach a player to be better if they don't care. How do you not believe its true? Did you hear/read what Mac said about Smith after the USM game? " He does have talent, but the attention to detail is something he needs to make major, major improvement on. If he does, then he has a chance to contend for the top spot. If he doesn’t, we will get what we saw the other night.” That follows the same storyline of Mac talking to Smith after the game in which Smith to talk to Chico.... Lies never turn out this good.

Here's my humble opinion about our Athletic Program under RV This past year I never received a call or email asking me to renew. Yes, I got the blast emails but nothing personal and I also receiving something I'm the mail. However, I was never too motivated to renew because I didnt like where the program ended last year. I went to the ticket office for our first home game and asked if it's normal not to call or email season ticket holders asking to renew. He later on said that my phone number was wrong but why was I receiving calls from players thanking them for being apart of the MGC. Then one of the directors asked when I graduated and she said "I'm donating more than I have too." I politely said "Yes, I know what my donation level is and I don't plan on lowering it." Your job is to raise as much money as possible and when money is in you're trying not to accept it? A normal response would have been- Thank you for your generous donation and GMG. Its a a failure across the board and leadership needs to change.

FootballScoop: President to make hire
Dr. Seuss replied to BillySee58's topic in Mean Green Football
I really don't think this is much different than last time. Pres. Rawlins was there during the Mac interview and he was there at the press conference. I believe he also had the final word. -
Can we please follow Colorado State and hire the next Jim McElwain; is that too much to ask for? I personally don't see it happening, but lets just hope it does.

Let me ask this question in another way and you tell me. I wanna know. Really, I do. Why...the...truck is it so hard for any one accountant to realize, acknowledge, and focus on two aspects of their job? There is tax. There is audit. Every...gosh....darned...accountant in America seems to be able to only pick one. It's simple, theres too much information for one person to learn.

Has anyone been noticing that they've been practicing in the super pit more than the practice facility ( seen by tweets from their twitter account). I know the offices and everyone is in there. Here's my question, why did you build a practice facility if you're never going to use it? My only guess- it's for the players to use at anytime?

Tour ULL's New $30 Million, 100K sq ft Athletic Center
Dr. Seuss replied to FirefightnRick's topic in Mean Green Football
Here's a tweet from @meangrenbasketball.... Painted green cinder blocks and fold up chairs.... This looks like a middle school basketball teams meeting room, not a division 1 school. -

I'm sorry that none of y'all could see this coming but our facilities aren't good. Just look at the most recent protect, the basketball practice facility. It looks like it belongs in a trailer park or some warehouse building. It's pretty sad how much money we're wasting. -

WOW--- And everyone just ignores my post about our facilities being average. I guess I can pat myself on the back..... -
FootballScoop: President to make hire
Dr. Seuss replied to BillySee58's topic in Mean Green Football
The Universty President is going to make this hire, whats not to get? Have you heard of Footballscoop? Its the main website for head coaching jobs, they're usually pretty spot on. Hauck never won a National Championship, he's 0-3 in the National Championship games. -
Villarreal: UNT wants offensive-minded coach
Dr. Seuss replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I dont think being from New Orleans is a bad thing, we've done really well there. You wont be getting the recruits that he would be getting at LSU but we would be fighting against teams like ULL and ULM. Either way, I dont think you can go with Briles, 2 TCU co- coord, Applewhite or Wilson. If you can get one of those coaches, we'll be in good hands. I heard some people thought that Meacham wouldnt come here, but I look at Meachaqm like Monken, they both coached at OSU together too and they kinda look alike. Monken was the OC at OSU before he left to USM, I can see the same here. -

Edit: Wilson is 41, not 39 -

Again, Frank Wilson from LSU or Major Applewhite is who you're looking for. Wilson: He's 41( not 39 as previously mentioned) years of age, he was the HC that lead a 4A state high school championship at the age of 29. He's the recruiting coordinator ( won a couple of awards for being the best recruiter, nationally) at LSU/ Assoc. Head Coach. Applewhite: He'll be 38 in July, 10 years of OC at Rice/ Texas/ Houston/ Alabama. Recruiter of the year for the BIG 12, QB coach. -
A look at 6 potential candidates for UNT's vacancy
Dr. Seuss replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Fritz is the best option but why would he choose UNT over teams like Memphis next year. That's who we're going up against. Fuentes is most łikely going to get poached, Memphis is a better choice for his coaching resume than UNT. I don't think that's a realistic goal, but I hope I'm wrong -
MGB: Villarreal -- "We have things we need to finish here"
Dr. Seuss replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
Our facilities sucks in comparison to a majority of the schools.. We might be top half in the G5 and bottom 90% with the P5 schools. -
A look at 6 potential candidates for UNT's vacancy
Dr. Seuss replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
1) Mack Brown isn't coming here, that's first. 2) NFL Experience??? The Packers went 4-12 in 2005, his only season in the NFL. This is his wiki page for his one year in Green Bay "In 2005, Gill was hired by the Green Bay Packers as Director of Player Development to help players become acclimated to playing professional football in Green Bay and to direct players to resources concerning community involvement, continuing education, financial management, and retirement planning. He also served as an assistant wide receivers coach and an offensive assistant coach through December 2005." I don't think that's very impressive. 3) Nutt hasn't coached since 2011, you don't want to hire the same person as Mac... Why would you give an older guy who's just milking out his buy out from Ole Miss to coach here at UNT?? That doesn't make sense. If he gets fired, he'll do the same thing and we cant lower his buy out because he retired. If you want to hire an African American HC look at Frank Wilson from LSU. -

Dr. Seuss replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Stop, please stop. UNT has some money, but not 2 mill to pay an AD. Turner Gill couldnt do anything in Kansas, what makes you think he will do well at UNT? Gill is 3-4 and 0-2 in conference right now.. Why do you keep on picking coaching that are exactly like Mac? Nutt isnt the guy you want. -

Dr. Seuss replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Yes, to me thats a no brainer. Hoke is McCarney 2.0, a northern guy who thinks he knows Texas because he use to recruit a couple of players from here. If you think Kansas isn't an easy job, what makes you think UNT's job is any different. Same problem, just a different city. -

Dr. Seuss replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I disagree, I think we need to stay with coaches in the south. -
I'd take him too but he's making $875 this year.. I dont know if he'll take the same to coach at UNT
-
You want to hire 2 ex Kansas coaches that did nothing at KU? Whats wrong with people....
