Restoration Academy is a private school and plays inside the private school assoiation. The compition at this level in Alabama can be hit or miss. Some teams are better that others but that being said, I do believe that some of these private school could be competive with the public HS inside Alabama.

Very good article, Vito. What most fans on this board have do is come to the realization, that NT is in most cases not going to be the first choise of the recruits that it signs. In the real world very few recruits will sign with the school that they grew up dreaming of playing for. Does that mean they will not be a good football player for NT just because NT was not there first choise. We have to remember that these 18-20 year old kids are having to choose what they feel will be the best football program for them not the fans of that program.

Only if Green does not believe that they can beat White. White knows they will be the underdog since white always plays on the road.

First, I am very excited about North Texas Football. But then again my knowledge about about North Texas Football is some where in between slim and none. At this time I do know that I will be at two North Texas football games next year. Bama and Troy. Maybe I will be able to make more but will just have to wait and see. Any facts about NT fooball would be appriciated, such as traditions within the football programs and there meaning. such as I know that NT is the Mean Green but how does the Eagle fit into the picture. Winning does seen to solve a lot of the bickering and complaining from a teams fan base. Unless you are a Bama Fan, all they know is bickering and complaining. I can say that about them since I have to live with them each and every day.

That can be a good thing. All coaches worth there salt want to be in the best possible position go better themselfs.

Here is why it was a tough decision to choose over Murray State. Murray State head football Chris Hatcher recruited Brent to Georgia Southern. Hatcher is his own QB Coach. Who do you think he talked to when he left Georgia Southern, that right Chris Hatcher at Murray State. Who do you think but him in contact with a junior college which is 6 hours from his hometown and a 10 hour drive from Georgia Southern. He was redshirted at Georgia Southern for a reason. That reason is the same reason that NT will probally redshirt a HS QB if they sign one with this recruiting class unless they sign a STUD out of HS at the QB position. Osborn visited Murray the week before. Who do you think call his former coach and had to tell that coach "I have chosen to play for someone else Coach". Osborn was recruited out of HS from his showing at different football camps he attended. His HS ran the wishbone until his Senior year. Power football 3-4 yards and a cloud of dust. Ball Control, run the clock. His HS senior year his team only passed the ball about 10 times a game. He never would have been recruited on just his HS numbers just because of the make up of the team he played for. There is one think I do know about Brent Osborn, he is a team player. Little Me - Big Team. The kid just want to play QB. That was not in the cards with his skill set at Georgia Southern after the coaching change. Is he good enought to play QB at NT. I have no idea, but the NT coaching staff must believe he is good enough or they would not have offered a scholly.

Rivals and Scout only know what the player and their coaches tell them. FBS coaches cannot comment on who they are recruiting and have offered.

Gus Malzahn OC at Auburn calls plays from the sidelines. It all depends on what is most comfortable for the OC and which is best for the team. There is nothing wrong with either being on the sidelines or in the booth.

Auburn has already beat South Carolina one time this year on the road.

The big difference was that Chizik had a history at Auburn. Gene Chizik would never have been hired as HC at Auburn just off his record from Iowa State.
