It is the coaching staff's job to do what is best for the team. If they decide that practices show be closed I have no problem with there decision. It is my understanding that in the fall practices will be closed to the public, if that is the case I have no problem with that decision.

Now ValleyBoy is smart enough not to ask about Texas BBQ since there is only one true type BBQ and it is not Beef. Pulled pork, either hole hog or sholder is King, if I want beef it will be Steak not BBQ.

So Denton Co. Hamburgers is the best Mom/Pop hamburger place in Denton. What about Mom/Pop hole in the wall, local family style restaurant.

We are already planning to attend the Bama & Troy game. Because of locate high school scheadule, my son is in the band, the only games in Denton this fall that are a possibility fo us attending are the Western Kentucky or Middle Tenn.

I have very seldom been dispointed by the different Music programs I have been to at different University's. My son has been to High School and Junior High Honor bands at UAB (3 times), Jacksonville St (2 times) and Auburn (2 times), also to Auburn's band camp 3 times. At each one of these programs,the performances by the different University Ensambles have been outstanding. The different programs such as Theater and Music on the University scene are some of the best entainment out there that more people shoud take advantage of. If you have never been to one of these programs you do not know what you are missing.

We try our best to do the right thing, this is a true story. When Brent was still in high school, one of his fathers best friends who he went to school with; (very small high school with only about 15-20 in each class- everyone knew each other), did not do the following just because Brent dream was to play for Auburn. The friend was the station manager for our local radio station. He had several extra tickets to an Auburn football game. He thought about calling Brents father and giving the tickets to him and his wife to go to the game. If Brent was not being recruited it would not have been a big deal. The friend made the decision to give the tickets to someone else for the reason you mentioned above. Would it have been against the rules if he had given the tickets, he didnot know so therefore to be on the safe side, he did not. Brents father is aware of this story and we try our best to do the right thing because there is a right way to do thinks and a wrong way and we would rather to the right thing.

Now this is the type of think the Mean Green need in the fan base. Think big. Calling all Mean Green Fans, ValleyBoy needs your help. Kids are out of school the week of April 10-15th for spring break. 12 hour drive to Denton from ValleyBoy land. Guess where ValleyBoy would like to be on Saturday the 16th. You go it Denton for the spring game. The problem is that the boss (you got it the wife) will not buy a 12 hour one way drive just for a in her words "a dumb old football game". It has got to be something good so that I can sell her on it so that ValleyBoy can make the trip. I need your help Any and all sugestions would be appricated. Kids are 16/17 with one being Special needs that loves football as long as there is a band. Wife does not like Fun Parks such as 6 Flags or having to walk long distances.

Being from Alabama I can tell you that most High school band directors either graduate from either Troy or JaxSt. Both of theses bands have a better rep inside the state that there bigger brothers Auburn or Alabama.

I will try and ansewer this question on why some players received a medical redshirt and others did not. Being new to North Texas football all I know on each of these players is what I have learned in the past month therefore I am going on the facts that I have picked up just in the past few weeks. Each player has 5 yr to play 4. Bynes, Cook, and Thompson received medical RS for last year even though they played last yr because of injury's. The reason they received medical RS an Ford, Johnson, and Leppo did not is that Ford, Johnson and Leppo had already used there RS year. The biggest problem in understanding how this system works is the term Medical RS. This term should only be used in cases where the player is granted a 6th yr to play 4. Each player can have one RS yr. Under NCAA rules the 3 above players that were lost for the season due to injury were allow to use there one RS year even thouth they had played during the season.

From the other side of the conference you have to add AppSt and Georgia Southern to the mix.
