I was at the Auburn Utah State game and I can say Utah State did not choke. Utah State came to Auburn ready to play. Auburn' defense could not stop Utah State when they had to. Auburn was lucky to come out with a win but sometimes that is the way the ball bounces. Everyone in Jordan-Hare Stadium knew that to have a chance to win auburn had to recover the onside kick. By recovering the onside kick Auburn put there self in the position to have a chance to win the game. Offensively Auburn execution stopped them most of the day. Utah State played there hearts out and just came up on the short end of the stick.

Why muddy the water with facts. The past is the past a doesn't mean the first thing when it comes to Thursday nights game. The Mean Green might be young and untested but none of us know how the ball is going to bounce Thursday night. I believe that with the new coaching staff the Mean Green will play there hearts out against FIU this week and no matter the outcome of the game hold there heads high.

FIU doesn't scare ValleyBoy because I will be at the game Thursday night and the Mean Green have never lost a game that ValleyBoy has been at.

I see Andrew Power having 25/30 receptions. With his size I see him being a hard man to bring down.

In another thread the subject was brought up Marketing 101 of the Mean Green Football Program. What do the above remarks say to possible new fan to the Mean Green Nation. Remember this might be the first video that they have seen of Coach Canales. What message are you tring to send. Hey I am new to Mean Green Football. This is my first Fall following the Mean Green. Do some of you think there is problems inside the coaching staff. That is what your posts tell me. #2 in command has a problem because his personality has changed. I am not buying this line but some readers might.

What else can be done. New Head Coach. New stadium. 20 million dollar donation. Season ticket sales are way up. But the next step has to be taken which is winning. Everyone one loves a winner. No one really cares about the losers except the die hard fans. Radio, TV, and Newspaper stories are run to make Money for either the newspaper, Radio or TV station. People only spent there excess dollars on thing that they are excited about. It is going to take winning to take the next step. You have got to get people excited about Mean Green Football. What will get people excited....Winning. Well the Mean Green lost again this past weekend. will not get it done. What can you do as fans. Well you can try to generate excitement for the mean green. Take the nextdoor neighbor kid to the game. Inform the store that you stop in Denton to buy tailgatings supplies that this is your last shoping trip with them for supplies until they turn the store the color green. Tell the business that gives the Mean Green free advertising how happy you are for them supporting the Mean Green and that you will see them the next time you are in Denton. Then tell everyone you know that cares about the Mean Green about that store. It will take time, maybe even years but it has to start somewhere.

I will not wear Green to Work on Friday Sept.1st, but I will wear Green on the return airline trip from Miami on that same date.

I think the biggest thing is the football season is getting closer and the diehard fans are ready for any news about there team. Who is running with the first team? Who looks good in practice? What is the depth chart look like? etc......... The biggests questions, the questions that really matter will be ansewered on Thursday Night Sept 1st in Miami. How will our Mean Green Football Team play. There is not a thing we can do on this message board that will help the football teams performance except let the players and coaching staff know that we are behind there 100 percent. Do you believe that Coach Mac will have the Mean Green Football physically and mentally prepaired to play football this season. Do you believe that the coaching staff will have prepaired the best game plan humanly possiable each and every week to give that players the best chance of being sucessful on anygiven Saturday. What I am concerned with is will the players play there butts off and not give up. I know experince and depth are major concerns. Hopefully this will be the last year that experince and depth will be a question mark going into a football season. Good Football Teams reload each year. The Mean Green are still in a rebuilding mode. I am drinking the Green Cool-Aid and beliving that after this years it will be lock & load. You better watch out because the Mean Green are Here to Stay.

There is nothing wrong with a Marching Band, the bring excitement to the gameday experience. My son plays the tromebone in his HS band which has given me a better appriciation of marching bands.

You mark might not mean a thing to the person who sets up camp under the tree before you get to the tree to clain your spot that you have marked under the tree. Therefore Harry I would recordmend that you have a back up plan in place to set up out in the bright sunshine where you will have a glorious experence before and after the Mean Green start the Great March to the Football Glory Land.

I have been known to be wrong but if I am not mistaken NCAA baseball programs only have 14 scholarships. I have no idea where UNT would stand between male and female scorts.

I have no idea what type shoes Coach Mac was wearing. I could care less what type shoes he wears as long as the Mean Green are prepared for battle each and every week.

Trying to bring back respect...team is buying in. Clint Bowen is a future star. Mac coached against him when he was a player. Wouldn't have brought in his staff without financial commitment from UNT. Looking to see how the players handle adversity over the next 20 days. Mac: There will be some great days ahead for North Texas.
