sure... we also live in Texas... so football could easily draw 40,000 fans a game... but it's just not happening anytime soon or historically, ever, in our program.

I've got to say guys, while i haven't read through every post on here... I think we're making a lot of progress on this topic -
This is my issue with our athletic department. This dude has put together both a gameday experience and a highlight video just because he likes basketball. He did it mainly from his seat in the stands and with some simple/good research. Simple stuff like this helps, this guy sure seemed like he enjoyed himself

Sun Belt schedule includes Marshall, ODU, USM

they could... and that would allow those schools to have more bargaining power with the exit fees. -

side note, i don't care who you are, USM, Marshall and ODU have a hellacious conference schedule. 16 conference games are going to be tough, especially with the amount of doubleheaders they'll have to play- 34 replies

Some people have talked best and worst case scenario... but i'm the only true American Poster around hear with the GUTS to think through a Mid Case Scenario. So, mid case scenario... we beat UTSA and UTEP by about 5-10 points each... then we go to the conference tourney and win our first game... and maybe the next game... but lose the CUSA championship... and then, like... maybe we make the tourney and play pretty good... or maybe we just go the NIT and win like 4 games there... then we start all over again in about 7-8 months...

Additionally (and i don't know, per usual), would a transaction to a new owner kickstart a requirement for the AD to make all necessary (and expensive changes) to become properly ADA compliant and fix additional issues?

pardon my ignorance, but are any of our sports money makers? i know there's a lot of accounting work that makes these really fun topics to talk about but bottom line, do our sports 'make money'? EDIT: Sorry, almost forgot, 'Question, no info'

so you judge a broadcast by the halftime show?

i don't care about anything you just said above. i don't care if we build something or if we don't... my question is, you think you can fit 1,200 adults onto a an auditorium stage comfortably? including presenters and the "stage" they have to walk across? i don't want to get to technical here and start calculating sq. ft. per folding chair, and start thinking through reasonable room for the graduates/space to walk/space for the speakers(which way would the podium face? normally, you want the graduates to be your audience, especially if you have a commencement address?... etc did a little research (Greggo voice)... looks like i don't know how big stages can get https://mynews4.com/news/local/nevada-proud-worlds-largest-stage-shines-in-grand-theatre

You want a stage large enough to have 1,200 grads (plus all the pomp and circumstance)???? how many of those stages are there? The Murch is a pretty badass building for performances

I think Randy Travis lives right down the road. He's definitely our biggest "t shirt" fan

Was that Randy Travis I saw there?

$2 General Admission Tickets vs. LA Tech.

good thing there are no more home games after this, or the AD would have to be writing checks to people attending the game -
pretty sure that early in the game a USM defender hand checked our guy that was inbounding the ball while he was still out of bounds
