  1. cmon man... it's football season! How can you not get fired up before they even play a down... I just think back to my freshman year in Denton... waking up at 9AM on Saturday, turning on gameday, walking from West to Fouts to get some free hot dogs, going back to my room to watch some more football... walking back to Fouts to get some more free hot dogs (no weekend meal plan). Cruising around the school to marvel at all the talent UNT had to offer, while simultaneously having a girlfriend that really wasn't that important. Going to a game, watching us win (at least we won a few in 2004). Then hanging out after the game with buddies for shenanigans. It's August, every team is 0-0, the year is full of possibility!
  2. Woody Wilson
  3. yeah... what's the downside here?
  4. should have just sent in the oop de oop highlight against utsa as his full resume
  5. I mean, there's a lot to criticize about our offense, i just don't know if targeting TE's more is what we are missing
  6. I mean... you could probably make the same argument about our receivers too... we averaged 197 yds/game passing last year... also, Pirtle had 41 receptions for 380 yards... so in total... TE's had 478 yards on 52 receptions... that's close to 20% of our passing yardage and more than 25% of receptions by TE's last year... I don't think we are lacking in getting the balls to these guys...
  7. Getting people on here to jump offsides more than the Murphy brothers did!
  8. This might be the best part of conference realignment. I'm glad this could lead to the breakup of the ESPN monopoly of broadcasting rights.
  9. Looks like Hawaii's white unis
  10. My bad, i barely realized that we played them 3 times in a row in Denton... we haven't been in El Paso since 2018.
  11. Side note, I think the revamped schedule was a huge boost for our team, but we have to take advantage of it... if we beat UTEP, we have a serious chance to go at least 4-2 to start the year. If we lose, big bummer.
  12. we've beat UTEP the last 5 times we've played them, Seth lost to them in 2016, his first year here 52-24, in a game that we thought knocked us out of a bowl game. 2020 @ UTEP 45-43, this was the Jaelon Darden game 2018 @ UTEP 27-24, first game after losing to LaTech
  13. Holy Moly, is that my boy Masoli? Cooking up the offense like he's cooking ravioli?
  14. If there is going to be a full split, Clemson and UNC would get scooped up for sure... and that's when you start seeing how the other schools values start dropping significantly... What will be really interesting is if some of the schools get voted off the Big Ten/SEC island... (looking at you Rutgers, Purdue, Vandy and Mizzou)
  15. i kind of disagree with the original post... make no mistake... if the Big 10 and SEC fully split... everyone below them is Tier 3... there will be no Tier 2, sorry Big 12, ACC and Pac 12(10?)
  16. i thought we got some votes a few years back before we lost to La Tech?
  17. or... this may be the new reality with transfer rules...
  18. yeah... it's still months from signing day... i'll believe it when he lands on campus... and then i'll buy into the hype after a season on the field... remember when A&M signed back to back #1 QB's in the nation? then both were transferred out in 3 years?
  19. also, were there rumblings of him hitting the portal beforehand? why is Vito saying this is a confirmation and not a breaking story?
  20. wut? is he planning on playing this year? it's tough to get enrolled in classes midway through the summer in general. i can't imagine changing schools and trying to find a team?
  21. well that's a pretty short list... and i think you mean they didn't fire them that season... the previous two coaches that led us to bowl games also led the program to dumpster fire status...
  22. his game against la Tech... priceless
