  1. i hope our new coach does not mandate that his new son will be the starting QB
  2. man, i hope i'm wrong about Fuente, but this guy just doesn't excite me. His record over his last four years at Va Tech is basically what Seth did here during his tenure...
  3. wait, are we not letting the new coach pick their OC/DC?
  4. VERY NICE
  5. I agree, follow your heart kid, and you'll never go wrong
  6. You've got a lot of belief in Deion
  7. I'm not antagonizing, but what would you consider to be a shockingly good hire?
  8. then they wasted a season before it started, which is even dumber
  9. after wasting a season of football... i don't understand this argument... if you are telling me it's smart to be the first person in college football to fire your head coach during the season, then i understand that you previously did not know how to hire a coach...
  10. They lost 8 games in 2021... in other words, they wasted an entire season of football... which i think is your argument of not having a coach right now...
  11. i would hope no longer than a week.
  12. USC fired their coach after two games last year on Sept. 13th... which sounds like they had no idea what they were doing going into the season and wasted the entire 2021 season because of it... This does not sound smart at all.
  13. So in your mind... these are the 'smart' programs, the ones that are successful... With the firing of Auburn's Bryan Harsin on the final day of October, six Power 5 head coaches have lost their jobs already this season. Harsin joins Scott Frost (Nebraska); Karl Dorrell (Colorado); Geoff Collins (Georgia Tech); Herm Edwards (Arizona State); and Paul Chryst (Wisconsin). We can also add Charlotte, who fired Will Healy on Oct. 23. as a point of reference, none of these teams had winning records at the time, and the best record was Wisconsin's 2-3 under Paul Chryst.
  14. For it's highs and lows, Seth's legacy with me will be the 2018 season.
  15. technically, he had 3...
  16. He would be smart to see who else recruits him... Pitt is fine, but he could start for much better P5's out there.
  17. the timing could have definitely been worse... They could have fired him right before a signing day, and all of UNT's recruits could have bailed... They could have fired him the night before our first game leaving the season as a waste... They could have fired him the day after him signing an extension, and would have owed him a ridiculous amount of guaranteed money...
  18. man... that's a lot of assumptions for a guy who couldn't even get the video board to work on the north side of the stadium
  19. both of these candidates had 15+ years of experience in college football at major universities before being hired... they were also both coordinators
  20. I agree with this completely... and if you are counting last year as one of the two years of decent defense, a lot of that was due to his mid-stream change to a run heavy ball control offense. So even then, he didn't have the defense 'figured out'
  21. Not saying... Just saying...
  22. I wouldn't mind art, but he's old...
  23. Kind of a bummer, even though I was on board with this after UNLV. Say what you want about SL, but he was a coach that was always willing to change his strategy to match what he had to work with (even if that is his own fault). Just seems like he couldn't ever get it squared away, even PB wasn't all that great without a run first ball control offense. I hope the administration has their ducks in a row...
  24. Wut?
