Well, i can't find any hard numbers, but based on minimal research, in 2013, they sold roughly 1.5MM units... so if we use the current cost new of a PS5 game ($69.99) the numbers would play out like this: Revenue - 1.5MM units x $69.99 = $104,958,000 Based on a simple formula of 85 scholarships per 129 FBS teams here are the costs: Total number of players - 129 * 85 = 10,965 Cost per player is $500, soooo - 10,965* 500 = $5,482,500 in cost As of now, the cost of NIL is a pretty low 5.22% of expected revenues. If EA made their NIL licensing base a flat 8% that would free up another $2MM dollars to distribute among the players. (if you distributed this to every player, each share would rise to $765) All that being said, the numbers above are based on the old video game model and not the in-game purchase world we live in now, where EA could potentially incentivize higher tier players with DLC or in-game purchases as 'unlockable' in the game. This could potentially be a huge gain for all-involved to make more money. Just some quick thoughts,
