This feels like the biggest home game ever
golfingomez replied to Ross Hodgeson's topic in Mean Green Football
naw... i've heard legends about the Baylor game... but that was slightly before my time... the biggest home games during my time were: 2004 Idaho, where we tore down the goalposts (last game of good times before we headed into the desert of losses) 2010 K-State, RIP Fouts 2011 Houston, Welcome Apogee! (If NT had somehow pulled out a W, this would have undoubtedly been one of the best days of my life) 2013 Rice, this may just be because of how great the night ended up, the fact that is was a Thursday night Halloween game, or the legendary STAND 2018 La Tech, RIP momentum... (need a sound effect of balloon losing air. -

Cal names TCU transfer Jackson QB1

That may be a little hyperbole... But you would at least have the scoreboard naming rights -
Cal names TCU transfer Jackson QB1
golfingomez replied to El Paso Eagle's topic in Mean Green Football
This sets up for a classic scenario where UNT forces Cal into a 3rd and 12 situation, only to give up a 16 yard scramble to the QB. -

Breaking it down further, here were the actual highs for those games... 2021, they showed up for the first Sarkisian game... because that game seems like the worst idea ever

I'm throwing the challenge flag on this... 100k? Based on the last 10 years of longhorn football and the opponent of Rice? Put me down for 85, Bob!

4 teams from AAC agree to leave?
golfingomez replied to Tommy Gadberry's topic in Conference ReAlignment
This is what I don't understand. What is the appeal of hitching your wagon to the for remaining schools... They bring no eyeballs and you could easily argue that any of the potential schools they are "targeting" could automatically be the best football school in the conference. On the flip side, Stanford wants private schools like smu/Tulane... Who have almost no following at all... I don't see how they can put together any sorry if media deal that puts them over 15/year... -

4 teams from AAC agree to leave?
golfingomez replied to Tommy Gadberry's topic in Conference ReAlignment
Yeah, both schools were desperate for a game at the time... this is not that situation i have no doubt that the four schools could fill a schedule, but they would play more away games than home games, and they would be playing a lot of 'lower tier' schools -

I do not miss trying to tailgate on the blacktop oven through mid oct. I swear I was covered in sweat after like 5 minutes of standing there
