Probably because ULM's games don't look as impressive as once thought to be... I'll give them credit for beating Arkansas, because they were doing a good job even when teh starting QB was in the game... but looking at Arkansas now, they are 3-4 with wins over Kentucky, Jacksonville St. and... Auburn, who beat ULM in overtime, which is their lone victory on the season (1-5), they aren't looking too good right now, especially after a 41-20 drubbing by Ole Miss... and Baylor, who they played down to the wire in a loss at Monroe, the Bears meanwhile, are 3-2 with their other 2 wins coming over Sam Houston St. and Smoo... and they just lost by 28 points to TCU who was playing with a backupQB in his second start... besides that... the Warhawks have beaten: Tulane, who have to be the WORS... oh, wait... maybe smoo is teh worst... Middle Tennessee, who, for the life of me, I cannot judge how good or bad this team is and Florida Atlantic, who might have won their only game of the year against Wagner in a 7-3 thriller!

3 guys... we lose 3 guys from the 2 deep on defense... and one of those guys will be Phillips, who has Polk and Stojkovic waiting to fight it out over who steps in

And yes, rushing the field does require someone to be the first brave soul to throw caution to the wind... BECAUSE THAT PERSON WILL BE SO EXCITED ABOUT THE W HE WON'T CARE!!! And that my friend, is why yesterday's game was not a rush worthy moment... You'll know it is when you see the security guard right in front of you, but all you can think about is going to celebrate with the team on the field

If you think that UNT is the only school that posts security around the field to prevent students from rushing it then you are crazy... You are also somebody who probably thinks that you can still tear down goal posts at stadiums nowadays

I would say beating a top 15 team (maybe even just 10) or winning the conference are the only suitable times for rushing the field now... if need to have bigger expectations for our program

rankings don't matter at all in CBB... it's all about getting hot at the right time

it's times like this that I always like to think back about Julio Jones and Marion Barber... people were always praising Barber and taking a dump on Jones... not realizing that all of those 3(sometimes 2) yard runs into the teeth of the defense were softening up the D for Barber to run over later on in the game... to me, that's the role that Byrd plays... it ain't always pretty, but it definitely gets that defense tired... and allows Jim Jim to do his thing

I agree... I think WKU is going a little under the radar right now, but they were definitely the team I thought would be the best at the start of the season... outside UNT of course...
