I guess I'm unclear how the process actually works... if a player transfers to another school, when does he actually receive his scholarship with that school? as soon as he steps on campus? or after he has sat out his year?

assuming all these guys pan out... continue playing football and earn their scholarship, right?

how have we not asked why McCarney did not bring in a 5 Star recruit his first two years here? UNT was clearly the best looking school in all the land! we had just pulled off 5 and 4 win seasons! we need to ask more hypothetical questions about things! What are we going to do if all the players decide that green is not their color? what if McCarney's alleged 'assistants' leave to take jobs at Washington St.? How will this 'guru' fix that? what if the turf in Apogee starts coming loose? what if the sale of Beth Marie's is no more inside Apogee? what if McCarney bans all cannon-fire in the stadium???

well we already know that he is the better QB at putting points on the board... i dont even know why they had another QB on scholarship this year

to say flat wrong may be a bit of an overstatement... they finished 59th last year in plays per game... and that includes them running the ball at an uptempo pace more than most teams do(which contributes to more game clock stoppage) and, more internally, it was a 3 PPG increase from the previous 2 years... http://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/stat/plays-per-game like most will acknowledge... a lot of the time, it was a grind it out offense in the first half of games and then pedal to the metal as soon as we started the second half (which left a lot of folks baffled when they would see the success of the 2nd half)

and the same goes if DW is the starter... look, the team just won 9 games when most were saying the coached were being stubborn... let's see how the season plays out before we just start condemning this season as lost

slow down there hoss... since all of us have seen a combined one possession of NCAA football between Greer and DW, i don't think we really know who exactly can do what better than the other... i'll hold any criticisms until we are maybe 2 games deep into the season... secondly... the fast tempo pace was used in the majority of games this past year, although it usually only occurred in the second half, which i believe is the coaches gameplan... see Tulane, Ball St., Ohio, Tulsa, UNLV, Middle Tenn., UTSA also.. running the ball against 8 or 9 man fronts was part of their play fast scheme... it might have worked it's best in the bowl game... but we definitely showed it in Tulsa and other games
