well, it's a good thing Tech was able to snag him! sounds like they should have no problem in the Big 12(-2) for the next 10 years! i think coordinators are great... but a young coordinator is not by any means a sure thing. they are limited in experience/knowledge of the NCAA game and dont have the full knowledge of what it takes to run an entire team. I'm not saying it can't work, im just saying let's be a little more realistic with our expectations. that A&M success back in 2012 was built by Sherman recruiting the hell out of some offensive lineman. he left a full cupboard and Sumlin (an experienced head coach) was able to put the pieces together in a way Sherman would never have been able to, which lead to the success they had.

I think UNT should be competing for a bowl game next year... the cupboard is not empty, i feel like this past year's recruits are pretty decent and we have a decent core coming back to play next year. on top of that, you always have the infusion of excitement from a new coach.if we don't win at least 4 games next year, something is wrong.

while UNT was never even invited... let's be honest... if we are talking about public perception, there might have been a two week window where people thought of the UNT football program as an overall better option than the Baylor program. This would be like saying people would gladly choose to coach at Portland St. over UNT after this year
