what we have working for us is the fact that we had an awesome turnout last time around. if you were to ask the HOD selection committee, they would love to have our 40K+ back in the stadium, so if we are within range to play, they will be trying to snag us,.

Fine had a really bad game this past weekend... i mean, we all know that without Wilson and the rest of our backs, we would have had a ton of trouble winning that game that being said, we got the ball back with 9:30-ish left in the fourth, deep in our own territory. I figured if we could run two minutes of clock, it would be tough for Army to score twice, as we were up by ten. first and second down did not go well, setting up a long 3rd down situation. Fine drops back and with the pocket collapsing he scrambles and dives, getting us a much needed first down. the next play, Wilson busts a 50+ yard run. That grit shown by Fine, when it looked like the drive was over, showed a ton about what kind of player he is. I trust the kid to get the job done, hope he throws 5 TD's next week.

untjim can join the crowd... no way in hell i thought this would be anything more than a rebuilding year for the Mean Green... i thought it would be a great year if we pulled off three wins...

I wish George would still broadcast our games... miss him so much.

really though... can you blame the oddsmakers? If you asked anyone here, what makes UNT great, it would be tough to figure out why... at this point of the season it is truly a feast or famine team... and the stats represent a pretty 'meh' team (thankfully, only one stat matters at the end of the game): UNT Total offense: 346ypg, ranking 115* UNT Total defense: 415.6ypg, ranking 73* UNT Penalties yards per game: 73.57ypg, ranking 118* UNT 3rd down defense: Opposing teams convert on .434 tries, ranking 93* Before the Army game, UNT was at even for turnover margin. Top this all off with a True freshman QB and a team that had gone 1-11 last year... it is REALLY tough to figure out how this team is actually winning games... I think if you take out the Florida and MTSU games it may make a bit more sense... whatever the formula is, keep doing it Littrell, because it is working! *All rankings are out of 128 FBS teams.

any chance ESPN3 will pick up this game at this point? not sure if there will be any other options, and I tried CUSAtv once, which was a disaster.

these are my exact thoughts... the flying worm is so great and so undeniably UNT that i wish we would go back to it.

we can play with syracuse... they are about two steps down from most of the P5's we play (SEC, UT, Oklahoma... etc)
