  1. if that happens... we should all try to violate NCAA violations with regards to the basketball program... then at least someone would put an end to this period of 'basketball'.
  2. Stuff... Driving...
  3. Cross would be an idiot to take the UNT job... and i say that as a fan of UNT
  4. What about Tony Denton? Is he still available?
  5. way to take a real hard-line stance there, NTD
  6. wish i could have seen Greene, and I also started watching UNT football my freshman year, 2004, our first year after Booger (A.B.) I have followed pretty closely since then and would have to give it to Brelan, he had the speed, the quickness and was unbelievably tough for his size. Dunbar's game against MTSU in the rain almost gets him there, though
  7. hey, watch out for that bear trap
  8. he clearly didnt watch the game
  9. I pointed that out to my friend in the second quarter, thank God we didnt make it a drinking game, or we would have blacked out by the end of the third quarter. I feel like the booth learned that word this week and really wanted to use it as much as possible during the broadcast
  10. put this a-holes info out all over the internet so that he gets reprimanded at school/work. Morris played a hell of a game today along with the rest of the Mean Green. https://www.facebook.com/winsteven13?lst=23901066%3A675470260%3A1482877206
  11. FANTASTIC Game! the team went above and beyond my stupid projection as i thought they were out of it when they went down 24-7 on a 90+ yard Army drive. My only disappointment in this game was not playing for the win at the end of regulation. I would've liked to have seen us take some shots at the end zone.
  12. yes, i saw him on the field after a punt, not sure about his offensive playing time.
  13. if we don't get a stop here, i'm pretty sure it's over
  14. Freaking awesome, any chance you are gonna snap a pic from the other side
  15. hows the energy? are we close to what we brought in 2013?
  16. Cross would be an idiot to leave UTA for anything other than a P5 School
  17. worst part about fouts was tailgating in the parking lot for the first three games... I felt like i was standing on a stove for hours before kickoff
  18. I'm not saying it's impossible for him to come here, I'm just saying he is going to be looking for something comparable before a UT coach decides to downgrade his salary and not improve his title. For Instance, take Reffett ULM DC - Salary was $120K, then he accepted a position with... Memphis Cornerbacks Coach - Salary was $204K, then he moved to... UNT Co-DC - Salary is $160K. Reffet was in the same scenario that these guys are in, coach is gone and he has to find a new gig. makes a move down in salary and school prestige, yet his title is better. building a resume in the coaching world is HUGE when trying to get to the elusive Head Coaching title.
  19. so... in this scenario. Arlington, Ft. Worth, Coppell, Southlake, and none of the other suburbs offer you a higher paying gig than Argyle?
  20. pretty surprising. Is Doc Holliday still at Marshall?
  21. Here's a quick recap of Salaries from UT. You might be able to grab one of these guys if you are lucky, but we would REALLY need our boosters to step up. 'Tight ends coach Jeff Traylor, who joined Strong’s staff prior to last season from the high school ranks is jumping to $350,000 annually from $245,000. He will also assume the title of passing game. Strength coach Pat Moorer is going from $330,000 to $350,000.' Read more here: http://www.star-telegram.com/sports/college/college-confidential-blog/article77204192.html#storylink=cpy 'Here’s a list of salaries for the new additions to Strong’s staff: -- Defensive backs coach Clay Jennings: $400,000 -- Receivers coach Charlie Willliams: $375,000 -- RB coach Anthony Johnson: $325,000' Read more here: http://www.star-telegram.com/sports/college/college-confidential-blog/article77204192.html#storylink=cpy http://www.star-telegram.com/sports/college/college-confidential-blog/article77204192.html Compare that to UNT's current top positions: Graham Harrell Offensive coordinator $225,000 Mike Ekeler Co-defensive coordinator $195,000 Troy Reffett Assistant head coach, co-defensive coordinator $160,000 Brad Davis Run game coordinator, offensive line $150,000 Tommy Perry Special teams coordinator, running backs $115,000 Joel Filani Wide receivers $100,000 http://meangreenblog.dentonrc.com/2016/03/unt-football-salaries-up-slightly-under-littrell.html/
  22. I think you all need to think about where UNT lands in the bigger scheme of things. If a guy like Anthony Johnson is the RB coach at UT, he's not going to be looking to get paid half his current salary to fill the same position at UNT. He would want to be the OC. Just because a coach got fired from UT, doesn't mean he wasn't trying to advance his career.
