Am I wrong in thinking that the old LCS cafeteria/gym has been the women's bball practice gym since they created the Mean Green Village? And that softball has indoor batting cages etc in that building. Did I miss something? I know were talking about building a place for the mens team instead of the Super Pit/Ken Bahnsen Gym/PE Building, but I thought that the old LCS gym next to the volleyball gym was already being used.

When the "U-N-T-Mother F-in'-Eagles!" first started with the Pit Crew and basketball band, I thought it was great. At first it was a hushed, under your breath "MFing", something that kinda make you giggle and shake your head a bit and think "That's exactly what I want to say but I'm not gonna scream it". Especially when the Johnny's guys were really kicking ass. But by the end of last basketball season and now at football, the F-bomb is the loudest part of the song. It's gotten trashy. It's bad enough that the only part of the fight song that most students know is the U-N-T-Eagles chant without the loudest, most recognizable part of it being "Mother F-ing". Now, as for adding the "CAW!!!" after "Eagles!" in the fight song, I am ALL for THAT. Also, we should have had the entire stadium shaking their keys and doing the "Start the Bus" chant after Lance scored that last touchdown against Monroe. It's awesome enough when the whole Super Pit does it, and one can only imagine what it'd be like if all of Apogee did it.

You should ALL remember this piece of crap column the next time somebody decides they want to trash talk Brett Vito.

First off for the record, Vito covers UNT and ONLY UNT. He doesn't go cover high school stuff for the DRC/DMN. As for lazy, were you there last night to see the Mean Green volleyball team kick the crap out of UTA? Because Brett was. Also, it's obvious you completely missed the DRC Football Preview magazine, with 15 full pages of UNT coverage and a special glossy center section all about Apogee Stadium. And second, are you for real? You're pissed because they didn't talk about UNT in a story about six former conference mates playing each other, instead of playing FCS schools to start the season? Dude come on. I bleed as green as anybody on here, but I also understand when the DMN doesn't do a write-up about a team that hasn't won back-to-back home games in nearly half a decade playing a non-televised game 1,300 miles away in another time zone. Also who's to say that Brett didn't write a UNT/FIU preview and the DMN dropped because of all the A&M to the SEC crap?
