Booger. Baylor. Touchdown. That was my first game my freshman year. #2 would be getting pelted in the back of the head by a tortilla the first time I was ever on the sidelines.

To quote Vito as of a few days ago when I wrote about it: "McCarney is paid a base salary of $475,000 under the terms of his current deal. He also receives a $35,000 payment at the completion of each season and a $35,000 stipend for appearing on UNT’s radio and television programs." I'd bet that there are bonuses in his contract for things like 1. Going undefeated in the regular season 2. Winning a conference championship 3. Going to a bowl game 4. Winning a bowl game 5. Winning a body bag game 6. Going undefeated at home 7. Winning a Grey Goose shots contest on Fry St. etc.

I just stayed at the Aloft in Tucson and I'll tell you guys, it is a pretty badass chain of hotels. A step above you regular ol Holiday Inn, but about the same price. IF you get a chance, try one out.

TV cameras are always on pressbox side of stadium. People on the visitor side of the stadium will get on TV more than others. Ricky V wants UNT people to be on TV because we're awesome and kick so much butt. Make sense now?

Well depending on how things go with the Heart of Mean Country Bowl, and next season, fingers crossed we might need to play the next few C-USA championship games in AT&T because Apogee is too small.

The last two NO Bowls were also smack dab in the middle of Finals week. The Westie: Guy who drove from 2004 New Orleans Bowl back to Denton non-stop while everybody else in the car wrote finals papers and studied. We won't have to deal with that in the HOD Bowl.

If I remember my history, Mean Joe Greene was a Freshman in 1966, and played on the freshman team. When they made the 1967 schedule poster months before the season started, he would have been a sophomore that hadn't played a down on the main squad yet.
