  1. Saw Xavier and his cousin at the basketball game. They were sitting up high in the stands above the Pit Crew.
  2. T-Mitch no look happy Neither does Army of Dad
  3. Yes, let's drop the seating capacity of the Super Pit and lose the MASSIVE amount of money UNT makes from being able to hold DOZENS of high school graduations three or four weeks in a row ever year, not to mention all the other events it holds throughout the year that fill it to the brim. Have you ever seen how many friggin people pile in to the Pit for those cheerleading competitions? We've never sold out Apogee, hell we might as well just tear down the whole student side and the Wing Zone so there are no cheap seats and it seems more full. Or just move back to Fouts. Less seats in the Super Pit... Seriously one of the most boneheaded things I've ever heard on here. And we had people on here that used to think Shanice would be a good coach.
  4. T-Mitch hangin' with Justin Patton in the stands up and to the left of Army of Dad... The great Jacob Holmen also sitting courtside.
  5. Just for fun I looked it up. 5-way tie for the Southwest Conference in 1994 (between Texas, TCU, Rice, Baylor, Texas Tech), before that 1958, 1955, 1951, 1944, 1938, 1932, 1929. Pretty much in the last decade that the SWC existed The Frogs won a lot of Tennis conference championships and not much else. (Also Mens basketball in 86, 87).
  6. Is it a recruiting violation if he takes his picture with the Heart of Dallas Bowl trophy before the game?
  7. When Big Ol Alex Lincoln reached up and blocked that pass to seal the win against Ball State, that's when I knew them dudes were serious. 2nd place: "The Stand"
  8. Pff... I was taking pictures with the HODB trophy BEFORE it was cool...
  9. Not related, but this photo just reminded me that we need to put the Mean Green Battle Flag on the back of the helmets where they (in the above photo) have the outline of Texas. (We currently on the green helmets, have the Stars and Stripes on the right side of the helmet just above the helmet safety warning fine print, player numbers in the middle and nothing on the left.)
  10. Uh....... I think your list is a little light..... I'd count kids from Denton County as being pretty much local Denton kids. We've got the two dudes from Guyer, but we also have players from Argyle, Sanger, Pilot Point, Flower Mound, Lewisville, Frisco Wakeland (in Denton county part of Frisco). I'm assuming that you included the kids from Missouri City, Katy, Bellaire, Spring and the Woodlands in your UH list to get to 19. So lets go ahead and add Muenster, Keller, McKinney, Prosper, Allen, Grapevine, Saginaw, and Sherman to that list for UNT. That's adding kids from everywhere north of either 820 or 183 that adjoins the Denton area. That brings my count of UNT "local" players to 22. But we need more.
  11. I had to look up where D&B is in H-Town. The closest one is next to the IKEA on I-10. I'd rather have eaten at IKEA.
  12. Where is China Spring? Is it near China Grove?
  13. Will Tony Denton sneak some Bojangles into the Charlotte locker room before the game to get them to play sluggish? Who knows.....
  14. Is it too early to call ahead and reserve Xavier a baked potato at Ponder Steakhouse?
  15. Hines is still an assistant at Denton Ryan for now. Supposedly early next week is when Joey Florence will decide if he will remain as the head coach at Ryan or take over as the AD for Denton ISD. No clue who J. Flo would end up hiring to take the helm of the powerhouse program he created.
  16. Greatest memory of this past season is what the black uniforms against Rice stood for: When he first got here, Mac said something to the effect of we wouldn't do anything special until the guys have proved to him that they were ready to win and were hungry. That they would have to earn something like that and prove themselves to him. Wearing those special uniforms on Halloween on National TV against an In-State team we were looking to get revenge on, meant that Mac finally felt that they'd turned the corner and his players deserved it. THAT above all else, is what I will remember the most. After seeing Dickey decline, and the awful disaster we endured under Dodge, seeing that we had finally climbed back onto the horse was amazing.
  17. My god..... The comments on that story.... Wow. What a bunch of whiny entitled buttheads. Almost makes SMU d-bags seem normal by comparison. Note that I said "almost". Hey Charlie, if you really wanna make a statement that the culture is gonna change at UT, give Danny Mac a call and turn our body bag game this next season into a home and home series.
  18. I saw new Scrappy in the tunnel under the Super Pit without his head on. Looked a lot better. I wonder if we could slap old Scrappy's head on the new body and finally get him a jersey. The body isn't that bad, just his face. Ugh.
  19. That Safeway parking lot needs a car behind them with this license plate:
  20. All this has got me thinking about another QB. I wonder who will be our first guy to sack Jerrod Heard when we go down to Austin in August?
