Hey, people who are already canceling events months and months down the road that should have been in that stadium: COME TO APOGEE

Having been there in December for a playoff game, I have to say.... I was actually really underwhelmed by that stadium. After all the hype and hyperbole about it, I found myself going "Really, this is it? It's just big and ostentatious. I was expecting some palatial, opulent over the top luxury whatever and instead it was made with the same materials and crap as every other nice 4A or 5A high school stadium built in the last decade. And it has really crappy handicapped access. Really going to the stadium in Allen just made me realize and appreciate even more how incredible and beautiful and truly nice Apogee is. I know I know, comparing a D1 college stadium to a high school field but when they cost almost the same amount of money, you actually can compare them. UNT made out like freakin' bandits with Apogee. And it's LEED Platinum certified.

Actually, "Mean Greens", the vegan cafeteria at Maple is really damn good. Really. You can walk out of there stuffed and not feel like you had to eat three times as much to feel full because it vegan. Thems vegan quesadillas is tasty, son. West Hall is now southern food, Bruce has homemade pasta and stuff. Kerr isn't a total hell hole anymore. Dining services is just finishing the total overhaul of the Bruceteria and have significantly upgraded every dining hall on campus. There is currently a big stack of UNT hats at the TJ Maxx in Denton. Go figure.

And back about 10 years ago or so when the SMU frats and sororities were getting pressured about hazing problems and they brought all their pledges up to Denton. And even SMU/TCU/Baylor athletes wanted to go to the parties at Johnny Quinn's apartment.

The cheerleaders did the NORTH TEXAS chant while the band was playing. You couldn't hear what few fans there are here. SMH

During the signing day press conference, when asked about our new DL coach Kevin Patrick, Mac mentioned in passing that they had "hundreds of people apply..." There has been a lot of turnover in P5 schools and NFL teams in the last few months, so we have a pretty big pool of possibilities to replace Walters. At this point none of us know why he is leaving, but if it really does boil down to money then that does sting.

This sounds a lot like Brock Berglund 2.0.

Ok, just so y'all know.... I went by the Lids over in Golden Triangle Mall today. This is the front entrance display. And this is one of the hats.... Which has THIS on the bill.....
