  1. Do we have enough sections at Apogee to do a crowd chant that way? Hell, unless it's a bowl game, we get tired of doing just North Texas after the third or fourth time.
  2. I wonder if Rally House could finally get those SOW pajama pants made that I've been wanting for years. Or a green fleece onesie with SOWs all over it.
  3. https://austin.bcycle.com/
  4. I want this guy. !Excelente trabajo!
  5. I took 25 photos during the photo shoot for the cover. Cyril Lemon smiled in exactly zero of them.
  6. Please tell me there's a way to hang a few hammocks inside that thing.
  7. A few nights ago the only thing on TV was the 09 National Championship game, which featured Mac as Urban Meyer's assistant head coach, defensive line coach and Strong as the associate head coach and defensive coordinator: the speed, ferocity and aggressiveness of that 09 Gators team reminded me of how hungry our D looked last season. Whatever MoJo Mac and Strong had instilled into those guys, also existed in our D last season. So if anybody knows how to plan for and counter a Charlie Strong defense, I'm gonna say it's the guy who used to be the #2 to his #3 back when they coached one of the hungriest defenses I've ever seen.
  8. Come on Texans, don't let me down. Pick up the phone.
  9. This means that the first time we'll get to see T. Goree in a game, he'll have had a year in the weight room with Wintrich.
  10. I can't wait to see those covered in their own tears.
  11. There's a pretty good Australian-made movie on Netflix about that battle and the mine bomb called "Beneath Hill 60". It was pretty good, but it was no "Paths of glory". Not enough World War I movies out there though.
  12. Stick a play chart down the front of my pants and drink a Diet Coke.
  13. I went to Verdun in 2001. It was sobering. We went to Fort de Douaumont where the ground is still uneven from the craters and there is still unexploded ordinance in the dirt. We then went to the Ossuary at the main cemetery there. Seeing the stacks and stacks of bones and the rows and rows or graves was... it was something else. When traveling on the highway on the way to Metz we saw fields full of crops that had big dark lines crossing them at weird angles. The lines were where trenches had been and there was still a depression in the ground.
  14. Doesn't look like chrome, just super shiny because its newly painted. And BADASS.
  15. 8-11am? That's when you ought to be standing in line at Franklin's BBQ to eat before you start tailgating.
  16. Gracias. And as much as I love seeing this photo being used a lot This is my favorite UNT entering the field photo.
  17. With all the Ivy offers, and then deciding on UNT, I wonder what he wants to get his degree in? Which we can then brag about as being a badass program.
  18. Well at least they know how to count alumni in the area
  19. Yeah it's nice they finally took down the "MEAN GREEN STADIUM COMING SOON" banner from the Fouts Press Box.
  20. Not so much faded but worn away and dirtied by the hits. White especially, but dark colors are really noticeable too. When the dark matte helmets get beat up the beat up part looks shiny. Here's a shot of a kid from Lake Dallas High School last season. They use a flat white helmet along with Argyle and others. And it picks up whatever color rubs off on it from painted logos on the field to the paint on facemasks in this instance. Riddell, Shutt and most of the others who make helmets and facemasks powder coat them nowadays and so that's not just paint that rubbed off onto the helmet.
  21. From the album: junk
