Robinson is gonna be something special when he's a junior or senior. Right now yes he is talented and physically gifted. He looks like he's 19 and could start at a G5 school. But once you see him actually do things, you remember how old he is, and that he is just learning how to drive. He still has a LOT of growing up to do.

He was denied eligibility to play Varsity sports by the UIL because of his move into the district. I think UIL thought it looked a little too much like a "moved here just to play football" thing. I feel so bad for our basketball players now. They got so screwed by this. Not only do they have to play for Benford, but now they can't walk to Mickey D's after the game to drown their sadness in McNuggets.

Yeah, right before the loose ball scramble that led to the fight, Harris was covering a dude who dropped his shoulder and plowed right into him knocking Harris on his ass. I felt the "thud" on the court when his back hit the floor. No call. A defending player, who is leaning forward to cover the guy with the ball, is knocked into with enough force to push him backwards and onto his ass, and nobody said anything. Army of Dad was going ballistic. Oh and that historic defense gave up how many points by getting distracted trying to cover the guy charging in the paint and leaving the dude on the far three line wide the F open? Worse than what happened on the court though was what happened in the stands. We got run out of our own arena by the UTEP fans. Who were NOT all just students from DFW home on break. UNC may be the wine and cheese crowd but we're the read a novel during the game crowd.

That giant sea of empty green seats is offensive too.

I can't even count the number of games under Johnny where we battled in the 2nd half and it all came down to us making those critical end of game FTs when every play involves a foul. Win by 1 or 3 and it was because Tristan or Odufua or Quincy or Ben Bell or Micah Bracy made a FT and the other team didn't.

Rally House in Flower Mound has a good selection. And it takes up an entire area. The new Academy in Denton has a buttload of stuff. But then again, if you're that close, then it pays to just head over to the Bookstore or the team store at Apogee. Campus bookstore is the only place I've been able to find the Nike knit beanie cap like the players wear on the sideline.

I bet we could get Mizzou to come to Apogee. (Dunno if we'd really want to but, I but they would. It'd be a recruiting trip for them since the only other chance they have to impress TX recruits in person is at an A&M game every other year. Being that UNT is smack friggin dab in the middle of one of the biggest HS football hotbeds for recruits in the country I don't know why we don't play that up as an incentive to come play an OOC game at Apogee. Come to Denton, stay an extra day to visit recruits).
