  1. Wesley Carroll Marv (The Wet Bandit)
  2. Apogee definition: "culmination: the best or greatest point" How appropriate for this time in the history of our great universtiy.
  3. I kid, but wanted to say that it really is a special time to be a fan of the Mean Green. A lot of us have been fans for a long time (me only for 11 years, many of you much longer) and have believed in the future of this program. It's great to actually be around to see it unfold exactly like we hoped it would.
  4. We can all be MG hipsters telling people we were Mean Green fans before it was mainstream.
  5. http://lol.escoflip.com/ how about this?
  6. I know its cliche, but I still like the intro to Crazy Train at football games, always gets me pumped for football.
  7. Don't forget the big donation being announced on the 15 th. That may bring us baseball sooner rather than later.
  8. Wouldn't mind some more walk-ons like that.
  9. Time I'm the weight room pays off and the DLine holds up well with Mac's experience making the difference. NT squeeks out a close one 27-24. I know I'm a homer, but I'm feeling good about this one.
  10. Glad to see that the players are beefing up. That will go a long way.
  11. saw on the slideshow Vito posted. It is the Sunbelt logo, similar to these... looks to be sewed on, but I'm sure we will be able to afford new jerseys if we jump to a new conference (assuming its not the WAC)
  12. Looks to be.
  13. That's my favorite part too. Just thought the unis were ok until I saw that. Overall, classic look with just a hint to contemporary style.
  14. I think those numbers on the shoulders will look great when the whole team is out on the field.
  15. I think those numbers on the shoulders will look great when the whole team is out on the field.
  16. I was a little surprised to see IU at 71 ahead of SMU. I don't pay attention to SMU much (that's by design) but I had the impression they were going to be pretty good again.
  17. I love this thread.
  18. Agreed! Booger was an absolute king on the field. He was a rare player and a fan favorite.
  19. It's a good time to be green.
  20. I live really close to that Rudy's, I will either be there or watching with friends in Denton.
  21. SHOSS, can't disagree, and I also think the good outweighs the bad with Vito. But off-season is long and I think that its the time when Vito's pessimistic side is most on display, and it is wearing on some people (as is evident in the comments on his blog). Once the season starts we will all have a different tune, but we are out of other things to talk about.
  22. Awesome. I'll give you a plus one when I get to a real computer.
  23. I agree with what you're saying, and maybe I'm being a bit hard on Vito, but I think if you're wanting to give an objective look at someone like Johnson, you should say something to the effect of "talented but unproven", which would be entirely fair. Instead we get no mention of his ability and an emphasis on his changing positions and being a freshman. I realize that this may seem like I'm making a lot out of a small example. But I'm really sensitive to rhetorical style for a lot of reasons related to my interests and education, and things that may seem minor stand out to me like sore thumbs. Maybe I just need to switch that off when I read Vito.
  24. These look great. I have a soft spot in my heart for OSU, hope they do well.
