I hate to be contradictory here, but students athletes are broke and work their butts off for their scholarships. The athletes are the real "have nots." My brother was a full-ride athlete and it was always tough for him. We need to support this, win football games, put butts in the stands, and get into a better conference. There's no reason UNT shouldn't be able to hang with the big boys and keep up with paying for things like this. This simply won't be a problem for us. And honestly, I care more about the student athletes across the NCAA than about whether or not FAU and similar teams can keep up with the cost of meeting their athletes' needs.

Don't worry about it, I don't think this game happened. I certainly don't remember it.

We fire on all cylinders, both sides of the ball and special teams doesn't do what it did last week. NT 35 ASU 17 ASU is good, but I think we turned a corner.

Just my opinion (and it doesn't mean much) but 4th in the Sunbelt is right about where I think we should be placed, though I could see us climbing one or even (possibly) two spots if last week proves to be a turning point. If Thompson plays like that the rest of the season we're going to be tough to beat. If not, we'll finish right about 4th-5th.

UNT concessions didn't take cards at the first game but I haven't tried again since then because I remembered cash after that.

I know at least some of them don't take credit cards. They are definitely losing money. I've seen people turned away. Once I saw a line at the atm that was about 20 people deep. A few wanting to go to it but turning around to head into the game because it was too long. Several people left the line and ended up not getting anything when they would have. I think they will have to change their minds about taking credit cards eventually, because so many people don't carry cash. But in the meantime, we all just need to remember cash on gamedays.

I'm completely blown away at all the complaining today. We won, for crying out loud. 1-1 in conference 2-1 at home. Go Mean Green!

It's a beautiful stadium and it would be awesome to go there. I honestly don't think it's as nice as Apogee, but it is really nice and I bet the fans will have a great experience there on gameday. This kind of thing really helps our conference.

This is all astounding. Did anyone really expect better than 1-4 out of these first 5 games? Enough to start talking like this about coach Mac? Give the guy some time and see how he does in SB play... Or even next year or...two before you freak out.

Not really disagreeing with you overall, but we lost by 17, not 40. Actually, we beat the spread. And if we could have capitalized on the 2 1st and goals we had that we got 0 points out of, it would have been a much better game.

Do you guys really think he is putting the possibility of hurting his friend's feelings ahead of the team and his career? I don't like the call either, but he has to see something in McNulty that made him put him in there. We aren't in practice to see what is happening. Maybe Osborne made him mad or maybe Mcnulty looks like superman in practice. Could be a lot of things.
