More random examples of UNT being "noticed"
pastorgrant replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
You almost had me. Then I realized, no one wears UTSA gear. -
WVU, Utah, and Tennessee aren't Temple. If they lost to USM or FIU or SMU, you would have a good point. BTW, we all know a good team can lay a stinker, we did that at Tulane.

Rice Fan thinks ECU and Marshall would crush UNT
pastorgrant replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I think if Rice had eight tries at us, they would come away with 0. -

This is still Jerry Palm's projections, though they probably won't be too far off.

This. We would win in Apogee.

I guess I was thinking of this like a wish list, no restrictions other than no "P5" schools. If we are being somewhat realistic, I would like to swap ND for BYU.
-
I'm surprised no one else would want to play Notre Dame in a home and home. Something I'm not thinking of? Seems like it would be incredible to have ND come to Apogee.

I have no idea what I'm doing here, but: SMU ND Houston AFA

Does GMG.com Affect your Work Productivity?
pastorgrant replied to Mean Green 93-98's topic in Mean Green Football
I need the distraction for the kind of work I do, otherwise my brain gets all foggy. -
What's your connection and why do you follow UNT?
pastorgrant replied to Travis's topic in Mean Green Football
I moved to Denton my Junior year in HS when my mom took a job as a prof at UNT. I ended up attending UNT partly for the faculty family discount and partly because I didn't want to leave my church. My best friend, Travis (yes, GMG's Travis), obviously also went to UNT and his fanatical support for all things UNT impacted me as well. It helped that I was a student here from 2000-2003. I came back to work at UNT from 2008-2011 as a hall director (Clark Hall), also working with Travis (he was at Mozart). Anyway, I love UNT because it's my alma mater, but Travis was a huge part of why I did and still do bleed green. -
If you can keep our D and our special teams from scoring and can avoid too many 3 and outs and turnovers, you could. I'm not trying to be cocky, but 25+ just isn't very likely. Good D will be what does it for you if you win. If I were a UTSA fan, I would be hoping for a score around 24 points between both teams.
-
We have given up an average of 11.4 points per game over the last five games, no one has scored more than 16 (Rice) during that time. Only Georgia has put up that many against us all season. If UTSA wins, it will be ugly and low scoring like your game last week. Outside of Georgia, our D has only given up 2 second half touchdowns all year. You have a much better chance of stopping our offense (which could happen) than putting up 28 in Apogee.

Nice post, +1. Also, I love chicken and wouldn't mind if UNT gave me some chicken with my tickets (or vice-versa), just saying.

I will come on here and eat my crow if UNT doesn't win by at least 10. If UNT loses, I will wear orange and blue for a picture and post it to my facebook with the caption "UTSA is the king of CUSA"
-
What I see in CUSA looks very encouraging for the future. I don't see USM staying down, UTEP will get better, UTSA and FAU seem to be on a good trajectory, Rice, Marshall, MTSU have solid programs, and the sleeping giant of UNT is waking up and smelling englishmon blood. This conference will be fine, it's just down at the moment.

Plus wiping that screen pass out of the playbook.
