I read that as a CUSA team being paired with a leftover from another conference because of a lack of Big Ten teams available, not as saying we were leftovers. I hope we do get a Big Ten team though, Michigan or Nebraska would be awesome. We would have a good shot at knocking off a perennial powerhouse.

All of those guys will be tough to lose, but I have to say that for many of them I didn't realize before this year how special they were. I fully expect to say the same thing at the end of next year. (Also, it helps a lot that our front four are on an 8 man rotation, won't be greenhorns replacing them)

09 is pretty knowledgeable. I'll take his word for it until I get a chance to see for myself

I'm not quite there yet, but getting there quivker than I expected. Just need to keep the whole season in perspective.

Some of the smack talk was out of hand, but the majority of our fans were just having good ol' football fun. A small vocal minority acted like there was no chance we would lose, but most just thought we would probably win (and we should have done just that). No one freaked out when I mentioned that if UTSA could stop our D and special teams from scoring we could lose, because that's something most of us knew could happen. Part of being a football fan is making predictions, and the best thing we had to go off of was the team that we saw for the previous five games. A different team showed up yesterday, and now we have to eat our crow. For a UNT "fan" to come on here and seemingly rejoice that UNT lost just so they can say "I told you so" is beyond me.

One of two very painful moments in a season full of awesome. It really stinks right now, but I will take that over what we have had lately any day.

I know I have to do this, but after the UTSA players' lavk of sportsmanship and that UTSA fan's "Time to eat some crow" thread, I know I'm going to be throwing up in my mouth a little when I do.

It is impossible for UTSA to get a bowl unless we also have one.

This was my most frustrating gameday experience since Rice trounced us a few years back. But, this team has still done more than this year than we expected, and they have two games left to make it up to us.

UTSA kicked our butts. UTSA is about what I expected in terms of football ability, but we weren't who I know we are. Hope we get this figured out before next week.

I called LD greatness at his first open practice, but I'm batting a .000 since. I will take that to mean I'm no prophet and hold my tongue. I am excited to see if you guys are right about DW though! It would be awesome to have a true star at QB (no knock at DT intended).
