Name one positive thing about 2015 UNT Football
pastorgrant replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Maybe I think Evans will be more than a change of pace guy. I am not a football wizard, but when I first saw P. Cobbs, Lance, and Evans, I said the same thing each time: that guy is special. -

I'm looking forward to seeing Tee Goree and some more Wilson/Evans (especially Evans). That will be a lot of fun, even if things don't generally go well. -
Agreed. I have spent some time on campus there and it is DEAD. Everyone seems to walk alone and I rarely saw anyone just hanging out.

I love Caine's, but I think the sauce is awesome (awesomesauce), so that might be a big part of it

It's been about a dozen years (I'm just a fat guy now), but I never was big on supplements. Eat good nutrition including lots of protein and lift heavy things lots of times.

http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2015/1/26/7894073/lance-dunbar-dallas-cowboys-demarco-murray-joseph-randle-ryan-williams-2015-nfl-draft I'm obviously a Lance homer, but it seemed to me like when he was utilized, he made plays. I want to see him stay with the Boys and get more opportunities.

I always thought that would be a hard gig for a guy with a family to work all of the BBall and Football games on top of his regular job. I'll miss him, though. We were very blessed to have him.

I love the offense the Cowboys ran this year. The balance was old school, but the way they were able to create favorable matchups and could always do something well was special to see. IMO, you need to have a solid running game, a QB who knows how to and is able to exploit favorable matchups, and multiple viable targets to make it work. That's not something we had, but in an ideal world, for my money, that's the kind of football I like to watch most.

I'm happy for Coach Wintrich, but bummed that we are losing him. I do think that Coach Mac has a good track record with hiring assistants, so there's that.

New UNT DC will be Chris Cosh per ESPN Brett McMurphy

Me too. Snyder is a great coach, so his opinion goes a long way in my book -
I like coach Mac, but the way he is handling the QB situation is sucking the life out of the team just like it is sucking the life out of the fans. It is so hard to have any kind of enthusiasm for this kind of football.

Great point! Both Smiths have done well with thier opportunities

I think our running backs have a little somethin'. If they double Harris, the Jimmy Show will have a field day. Still don't think it is enough, though. We need another receiver who can get open and make plays. Carlos really deserved this honor. He was great.

Gimmie a break!

Hope so. He was getting killed. Maybe he is just not built to be a Tackle

Look guys, there are times to admit you're wrong. I was wrong about this team. I thought the strength of the coaces would overcome the losses we had to win some games with our schedule. Nope. I thought our OL would be a strength and that Lemon would be dominant this year. Not even close. On the other hand, is DW our best option in the long run? I think that's obvious unless Means is a world beater. But he was unprepared coming into this season and he is going to struggle when the OL is getting blown off the ball. But he will have a heck of a career if he can be mentally tough through these initial hard times. We are all going to have to exercise a lot of patience with DW and with this team as a whole or we are in for a lot of heartache.

This is a terrible showing. I'm on the DW bandwagon, but he has made some unbelievably bad mistakes. And the OL has been absolutely terrible. What happened to them?

DRC: Sir Calvin 'Z-Ro' Wallace out to prove he no zero
pastorgrant replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
Yep. Zero and Tauaalo develop well and we no longer have and undersized DL
