  1. No he wasn't. He's been a tackle since the day he stepped on campus.
  2. http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2011-nfl-undrafted-free-agents If he signs, this will be where to find it.
  3. How can people question why A&M would want to go to the SEC? If the SEC woke up tomorrow with the Big 12's money, it would blow it's brains out. The SEC and Big 10 make wayyyy more money than the Big 12.
  4. Not to stereotype, but I've yet to speak with a Texas fan that wasn't a complete douche. Props for finding one.
  5. Bleacher Report sucks.
  6. As someone who worked at my uncle's scrapyard all last summer, I can tell you that you would be shocked if you knew how much this actually happened. People are just stupid.
  7. He got kicked off.
  8. 6'8" isn't the problem. 215 is. There isn't a post in the league that small. The offense is gonna revolve around Tony Mitchell's strengths, whether that be in the post or from the outside. I heard we're putting in the dribble drive(Kentucky's offense). On defense, he'll be more of a weakside shot blocker/rebounder than a defensive anchor because he's far more mobile than all of our bigs.
  9. Another big man shooting from the outside? Lol he's 6'8" 215...that's not a big man in the NBA(it's Rudy Gay, who Tony reminds me of)...he is a 3 on offense and he'll play the 3 and 4 on defense...if you wanna know why he played down low in the FIBA games, you have to realize that we had one center(young) and one other PF...the team was full of guards, so he couldn't get time at the 3. Also, FIBA is just a completely different kind of game. The starting center for team USA last year was Lamar Odom. Their style of play(shorter 3 point line, wider lane) is more suited to shooters than interior play.
  10. The fact that there's black in the turf leads me to believe that black will play a bigger part in our uniforms. I also like the idea of having a traditional looking jersey. As for the helmet, we're going to have North Texas on our helmets until we're a nationally recognized program, and there's nothing wrong with that. It doesn't look nearly as bad as some of you make it out to be. And I don't care what y'all say, the new green looks infinitely better than the old dark green. GMG!
  11. I opened this thread to say that it would be nice playing UT and knowing we have either the best or second best player on the floor. Then I saw the date. Myck Kabongo is the only guy they have that might be as good as T-Mitch.
  12. Chicken Express is awesome. But Cane's is better. And this is coming from someone who grew up with a Chicken Express. Nothing can top the Cane's Sauce, or the toast.
  13. How is that negative? If we have a guy on campus that is good enough to play in the NBA then more power to him. There is absolutely no way he plays 4 years for us and I'm okay with that. At least we'll get him for one, and MAYBE two. This will only help recruiting down the road. Also, the grades he makes at UNT will have absolutely nothing to do with his NBA chances. Derrick Rose didn't even take his own SAT test. Do you really think the bulls give a damn? This is the best basketball player we have ever had on campus and I can't wait for next season, but I don't expect him to be here for 3 years, much less 4, and I'm okay with that because I know he will accomplish big things while he is here. GMG!
  14. Chris Jones is our best recruit not named Tony Mitchell, and I stand by that.
  15. If Knox gets playing time, I'm putting a gun to my head. If he starts, I'm pulling the trigger. Chris Jones is way better than Alzee, and you can't have a defensive specialist initiating your offense if you want to be worth a damn anyways. Jordan Williams is a 3, not a 2 or a 4. Hogans will start.
  16. Andrew Power and Daniel Prior don't even play the same position. Power is a tight end, while Prior is a U-Back.
  17. Franklin will get time at the 4 and 3 positions. The reason he was ineffective at OSU was because he was too short to play down low and couldn't shoot well enough to play outside. He can play down low in the Sun Belt because the opposing teams aren't nearly as big or athletic. I'm really looking forward to next season. I still think our best recruit (other than T-Mitch) is Chris Jones. I'd be shocked if he's not our starting PG from day one.
  18. Yes, it is private only to play, but I believe the memberships are pretty cheap if you're interested and can play enough to justify spending the money. It's a great course. If I had a camera that was worth a damn, I'd take a picture. All I have is my iPhone. I'll take one tomorrow and see if it's worth posting.
  19. I work at Denton Country Club. Today after I got off work, I went out and played. Well from 5 teebox, you have a pretty nice view of the wingzone. I thought that was pretty neat.
  20. Go Notre Dame. I'm not particularly fond of either school, but I'd like to think that Skylar Diggins will be my wife in a few years, so I'll cheer for them.
  21. ESPN has him going in the late first round or early second round if he comes out this year. Not too many people could take a year off and still be that highly sought after. I hope he stays. GMG
  22. I think Vito is completely wrong in terms of how the receivers looked. They moved Jamize Olawale to outside receiver, where he should have been a long time ago, and he has looked phenomenal. At 230 pounds, still has really good speed, and great hands. Don't be shocked if him and Chris Bynes are your starting outside receivers with Stradford(still can't catch) coming off the bench. Also, Power has looked great at tight end. The only thing worth worrying about on offense is Left Tackle.
  23. Terrel Brooks from Duncanville was out at practice. After seeing him, I'm 100% convinced he will be starting at DT on September 1st.
  24. What the hell? Is it Mean Green Abroad weekend or what? Btw, we tailgated right by the gate for the first practice, and we will probably be back for the first practice in pads on Saturday...so stop by for some hot dogs, or bring a steak and we'll throw it on the grill...I'll have more info tomorrow...PM me if you have any questions...
  25. Y'all say Kansas should walk to the Final Four, but do NOT count out Richmond. The Spiders are just flat out good. They could absolutely beat Kansas next week.
