  1. That's where you're wrong, sir. His 40 and shuttle times will be among the best of all the RBs, and that is a guarantee.
  2. There will still be bowl teams that go 6-6, but this will just guarantee every 7-win team a bowl bid.
  3. I just saw on twitter that yahoo is reporting that there is a very good chance they change bowl eligibility to 7 wins in 2014. I like it. WKU would have gone bowling this year if that rule was in place.
  4. Adam Morrison stayed 3 years, and he sucked because he wasn't athletic enough to hack in the NBA, not because he left to early. Just enjoy him while he's here, but don't get your hopes up that he'll be back.
  5. Chad Ford: Draft Blog Sleeper The aforementioned Mitchell is now a forward for North Texas and is lighting up the Sun Belt conference. Since Mitchell became eligible the Mean Green are 8-3 and Mitchell's averaging 15.5 ppg and 9.4 rpg on 63 percent shooting and 59 percent shooting from behind the arc. And he's getting better. In January he's had a 34- and-14 game versus South Alabama and a 30-point, 17-rebound game versus Denver on Saturday. The competition might not be great, but scouts saw enough talent at the under-19s to believe that Mitchell has a chance to be special. He's cracked our Top 30 for the first time this year and, truthfully, could end up going much higher once he gets into NBA workouts.
  6. Sorry Cooley, but you are dead wrong about him not being NBA-ready. He's around 6'9, can play inside and out, and is a terrific defender. As long as he stays here, his draft stock can only improve so much, because he's playing a completely different position than he will play in the NBA, and as long as he's here, he won't see a minute at SF.
  7. I understand why he's not playing in the senior bowl, but I'd be stunned if he isn't invited to the combine. If he does get invited to the combine, his stock will skyrocket, because he'll dominate everything they do there.
  8. Like I've been saying, just enjoy him while he's here. I'd be pretty surprised if he hung around. He's a first rounder no matter when he leaves, and his stock can only go so high, so he really has no incentive to stay. Either way, his impact on the program will be felt, whether he's playing for us or an NBA team.
  9. More Performances that Wowed Us It's nice to get some love from the Worldwide Leader every now and then.
  10. I'm sure this has been pointed out before, but it's crazy to think that 4 of the 5 guys that started the first game are not playing right now, for whatever reason.
  11. I can live with a few turnovers. More good than bad happens when we try to get Tony the ball.
  12. NT03, I'm on my phone so I'm being lazy and not quoting you, but I also noticed that Hall was really going out of his way to get the ball into Tony's hands. I wish everyone else did that. When the ball is in his hands, good things tend to happen. He's a much better passer than his assist totals would have you believe. The only weakness in his game is picking up dumb fouls, and he's improved that a ton since his first game. I know we're down 2 awesome players for the rest of the season, but as long as 13 is still on the court, I wouldn't count this squad out.
  13. Definitely a misprint. If not, then he's averaging 3 points and 30 rebounds. You would think a guy averaging 30 rebounds would have a few easy putbacks each game.
  14. They both deleted their twitters.
  15. If I had to bet money, I'd say he leaves after this season. He's a first-round pick this year, and I doubt he's too interested in staying in school and going to class, when the alternative includes millions of dollars. I'd love to have him back, but I won't be the least bit surprised if he leaves.
  16. I just checked my guide on Fios and the game is on FSW+ channel 577. Just thought I'd let y'all know.
  17. I'm beginning to wonder if Skiver is just trolling. I sure hope so.
  18. Bowen took the DC job with Kansas.
  19. Bowen got a job with Kansas.
  20. Didn't actually SEE the game, just listened, so I can't comment on whether or not there was home cooking, but free throw attempts mean nothing about the officiating. The more aggressive team is going to shoot more free throws. Again, I didn't see the game, but I wouldn't judge the officials based on them shooting a lot more free throws.
  21. Is this currently going on all stealth-like, or is this an offseason project?
  22. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this was probably the most efficient 30 point game in the entire country this season. 34 points on 14 shots is absurd. Then you tack on the rebounds and all the shots he altered(surprised there were no blocks, because Jub was constantly calling his name out). Masterful performance to say the least. Go Mean Green!
  23. Also, he played 40 minutes and only picked up 3 fouls. Someone is getting a feel for college basketball.
  24. As for everyone else: Chris Jones: Can you say enough about this guy? He's the best player on our team, and that is counting Tony. This team goes as CJ goes. Even as a freshman, I can't think of anyone I'd rather have running the point. If his shot improves, he will be absolutely unstoppable. Trey Norris: He's a good bench PG. That is all I have to say. He will only get better. Alzee Williams: Probably our best perimeter defender. Very limited offensively but can make free throws and open shots. Brandan Walton: 3-point shooter. Still not consistent though. If he isn't hitting, he's useless, but he is by far the best shooter on the roster. Jordan Williams: He has the highest ceiling on the team other than Mr. Mitchell. 6'7" SGs are tough to come by for anyone in the nation. There's a reason that he had a ton of big time offers. IF(big if) he can perfect the 3-point shot, then I guarantee you he will play in the NBA. He can already do pretty much everything else. Roger Franklin: In my opinion, he is our 3rd best player at the moment(behind CJ and TM). We finally have him playing his position(which OSU refused to do) at PF/occasional SF. He's just an undersized big guy. He plays full speed all the time. He cleans the glass. He's a great finisher. He has cut down on taking bad shots. He's definitely in the running for my favorite player. Jacob Holmen: If his shot is on, I love him. If it isn't, I hate him. He's gonna shoot whether it's on or not. Niko: Love him on offense. Hate him on defense. Zo: He's a big body I guess. Good defender, but he isn't good at anything else. If we play like we did in the first part of the second half today, there isn't anyone in the Sun Belt that can touch us. I'm very much looking forward to watching it play out, because I feel like we SHOULD beat everyone in the conference. I know we won't, but nobody can touch us when it comes to talent. GMG!!
  25. Also, I feel like EVERYONE I know is disappointed with Tony. WHY?!?! Go read ANY draft profile on him. He is EXACTLY what they say he is. At UNT, he anchors our defense. There are very few people in the Sun Belt that even want to drive to the basket because they know he's liable to throw their shot into the third row. He makes our defense so much better because people are scared to go to the rim, and he sucks up every rebound within a reasonable distance. His offense consists of(like the scouts already said) fast break points(because he runs better than anyone his size), put-backs(because he gets his fair share of offensive rebounds), and if he plays the 4, he can beat guys off the dribble at will. Unfortunately, we have yet to see him do this because we hardly ever pass him the ball in an ISO situation. The pluses for Tony: he never takes bad shots(he's one of the most efficient players in the nation), he's a great passer(also comes from him being unselfish, but he always finds the open man). Other than that, who knows, because we NEVER RUN PLAYS FOR HIM. His stats may not show it, but he's still made a tremendous impact on this team, because he changes the entire dynamic of our defense.
