  1. To be fair, that's actually the gametracker from CBSsports.com. However, it's pathetic that they don't have a video feed.
  2. Is this a FoxNews article? I've never really seen anyone else print such blatant BS.
  3. They were up 4 with 10 seconds left. FAU hits a 3, then fouls. Denver player leads the conference in FT shooting and misses BOTH, then proceeds to foul a guy on a 3 pointer. I'm happy for us, as it helps us in the standings, but if gambling were legal, I probably would have parlayed UNT, Wisconsin, and Denver.
  4. MTSU did a good job on him, because every time he got the ball in the post, they sent three guys to him. This will not be a problem in the NBA. He was killing whenever they didn't double or triple team him. I think we should get him the ball on the perimeter more often, because its harder to double out there, and he can get to the basket at will or create for others.
  5. Yes. This is what I was referring to. I guess it was misinterpreted. Sure, the students should campaign for him to say, but never in my life have I seen something like this come from the administration level.
  6. I agree. If you wanna stop getting treated like you're small-time, then you gotta stop acting like it. I'm all for him staying around, but you don't see the big schools campaigning to keep their freshmen during the middle of the season.
  7. That all depends on who drafts him. Norris Cole, drafted 29th(in a weak draft), is playing 22 minutes a night for a team that played in the finals last year. MarShon Brooks, drafted 25th, plays 29 minutes a night. Jon Leuer, drafted 40th plays 17 minutes a night. Chandler Parsons, drafted 38th, plays 25 minutes a night. Isaiah Thomas, drafted 60th, plays 17 minutes a night. And again, this is from an incredibly weak draft.
  8. You are clueless dude. If you think coaches play guys because of salary, then you know absolutely nothing about the NBA. The coaches don't care how much you make. Their jobs are on the line, and the NBA is win-now or get fired, unlike college where you get time to rebuild. They put their best players on the floor, PERIOD. And God forbid I use the most updated list(by Chad Ford, who stays in contact will all 30 GMs) to judge where Tony will be drafted instead of something that hasn't been updated in weeks. And the example you used is pitiful. Roddy hasn't started because Jason Kidd is better. Brandan Wright and Yi don't start over Haywood because they don't play the same position. And Haywood may start, but Mahinmi plays just as many minutes. Haywood makes 8 mil, and Mahinmi makes 800k. Just stop.
  9. I couldn't agree more, and I haven't even read the article yet, which is shocking, because Grantland is my homepage.
  10. He'll be a top 15 pick this year guys. Just because he's ranked 23 right now(a little more than halfway through the season), doesn't mean that's where he'll end up. When the year started, he was ranked in the 50s. Also, some of the guys picked in the 20's this year(worst draft in awhile) are either STARTING, or playing big minutes. Normally, the picks in the 20s don't play a lot because they're just not talented enough. That's not the case in this draft, which is the deepest in quite awhile. If you guys honestly think he would ride the bench for FOUR years, then I shouldn't waste my time discussing basketball with you.
  11. To be fair, Memphis is a better basketball school than half of the BCS schools on there anyways.
  12. Tony is gone. And if you'll notice, the only people in the NBA that struggle with foul trouble are centers. Tony won't see a single minute at center in the NBA. Foul trouble will not be a problem for him at the next level.
  13. Funny that TM missed the first semester, and STILL has more 7 more blocks than the next best guy, and he's the one playing out of position.
  14. More Performances That Wowed Us Go Mean Green!
  15. When you have 3 late decommits, the quality is obviously going to slip with their replacements. That is not to say that they won't be successful here.
  16. Eli was drafted by the Chargers and traded to the Giants, who drafted Philip Rivers.
  17. Even though they lost, that's an impressive showing on the road against a really good team.
  18. Doug Gottlieb The good stuff is in the tab on the right. He says Tony has been the 5th best freshman in the nation thus far. Not too shabby.
  19. Last year, there were around 40 running backs at the combine. There are only 14 on that list. I'd be shocked if he wasn't invited.
  20. All 4 fouls last night came inside playing a position he'll never play in the NBA.
  21. The play was drawn up to get our best 3-point shooter a look at a 3. He got a decent look, but just missed. I had no problem with the play Johnny drew up. I do however have a problem that the referees went to a replay because the two refs made different calls(this isn't legal), and after watching the video, they decided to count the basket, and give a double foul. Just make a decision. I'm normally pretty easy on the refs because I've reffed before and it's not an easy job, but that's just pathetic. You don't give a guy a charge and 2 points. That's just stupid, especially when the final margin of the game was 2 points. All that said, I'm ready for some revenge Saturday.
  22. I wouldn't trust these guys to ref a freaking little dribblers game. The Sun Belt has the worst officials I've ever seen in my life. This is pathetic.
  23. He's currently ranked 27th of all the NBA prospects, in the article I conveniently linked for you. And it says he could potentially move "MUCH HIGHER" once he gets into draft workouts. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have him, but staying here another year will not improve his draft stock much, if at all. He's not even playing the same position here that he will play in the NBA, so there's only so much he can show scouts. For Tony, there's a lot more reason to go pro than to stay here. If he really values an education, then he can go back to school after his career is over. I know WE all want him to stay, but I'm not so sure that's in his best interest.
  24. Yeah, they won't decrease the amount of bowls, because they make too much money. But every 7-win team will have to be in a bowl before a 6-win team can be selected.
