  1. Those guys had success no doubt, but they also had a COMPLETELY different pool of talent to use from. Unfortunately we aren't that lucky so it is going to take Mac a FEW years to get this thing turned around. I know we're all sick of losing and I am too, but just because we're tired of losing doesn't mean that our fortunes are going to evolve overnight. It takes some freaking time at a place like North Texas. Who are we kidding? We have such a long way to go, but it can and will be done. Might be next year, might be 2 years from now.
  2. I'd argue that those programs were not at our level of poor performance in the 5 years prior to Mac. We were the WORST football program in the country during Dodge's reign. The talent level at UTEP, TCU, Alabama, and yes even Rice was much greater for those coaches than ours this year for Mac.
  3. Name some
  4. I just can't believe how many of you people actually believed that we could win 6 games this year. Too much drinking of the green kool-aid I guess. How quickly we've forgotten that these are the same players, except for a few, that Todd Dodge was working with. This is not going to be a one year turnaround and we all knew that coming into the season, even those who wouldn't admit it knew it too. Coach Mac is a good hire. It takes time and let him work his magic. Give him a couple recruiting classes and see how things are then. Teams don't go from winning under 10 games in 4 years to going to a bowl game in one year, even in the sun belt. Times are changing, but it takes time. Let's sit back, take a breath, and enjoy the bright future of UNT football.
  5. are you effin serious right now? WTH should it matter if there are any Texans on the Ranger team?? Terrible logic.
  6. THANK YOU. I completely agree. I love UNT and have been to every home game this year, but it's the World Series!!! Cmon people. I've been a fan of both teams, but I've been a Rangers fan for longer. All the people on here that are resentful towards those that choose to watch the Rangers instead need to get over it. Every one has a choice and in this case, both choices are fine. GET OVER IT. Go Rangers and go UNT
  7. So true, and anyone that denies it that remotely follows the Rangers is a liar. ITS THE WORLD EFFING SERIES
  8. If they change the time to 2 pm attendance will be upwards of 20,000 I predict. If they keep the same time, it will be close to 12,000. It's simple UNT. get it done
  9. I'd say Arizona would go harder after Leach than FAU could afford to
  10. Koji Uehara needs to fly home tonight and not bother showing up again
  11. isn't it the coach's job to find the best possible way to win? Mac knows what he's doing. Let's remember that this is a process.
  12. I'm just happy he didn't call us North Texas State
  13. Vegas can take their spreads and shove em. No doubt this will be a tough game, but we definitely have a good shot.
  14. The guy that was supposed to press the record button on the camera didn't show up due to the OU-UT game, Rangers game, and weather concerns.
  15. Just out of curiosity, do we have any idea of what starting lineup we will be rolling out there for the first game of the season?
  16. I think Royce has a shot at being a 6-7 round draft pick. I don't see any reason why he won't improve throughout the season with some good coaching. He seems to be a very skilled corner. Why not North Texas?
  17. Honestly, I'm a UT fan, but before I get 30 -1's, let me say I love UNT, go to UNT, support UNT, and yes I was at the UNT game on Saturday. NO WAY would I put the burnt orange on after a game like yesterday. At least, UNT won and the Rangers won. This helped ease the pain
  18. I have no complaints that he would wear another team's jersey to our game, but why in the HELL would he even think about wearing that jersey after yesterday??
  19. one word to fix all this. one word: WIN
  20. wow...
  21. I have watched every game that Garrett Gilbert has played. The kid doesn't have it in the head to play D1 football. Period. He doesn't have the confidence or the "go get em" attitude.
