I asked RV about that a few months ago, and he said he couldn't see it anytime in the foreseeable future. He wouldn't mind having one, but just doesn't know how we could make it work. I didn't press him on it, so if you want a detailed explanation you'll have to ask him.

The fact that you noticed they were going to try prevent it means you thought, if only for a moment, about rushing the field against U La-La. That, young man, is not a thought worthy of a North Texas student. Beat the Aggies or a highly ranked team or a team with a great winning history and tradition? Go for it. Win the Belt? Absolutely. Random midseason game, even a good game against a decent opponent? What for? Sing the Alma Mater and then go to Fry St. or a frat house or something to celebrate and call it a day.

There are a few members of this forum who have, to my knowledge, never added anything constructive or even interesting. There's a really nice ignore function you can use so you only see what they say when somebody quotes them. It really keeps the useless clutter off the page, I highly recommend it.

My RA my freshman year had been a TAMSter and finished at UNT. Don't know how many of them stick around like he did, (not going to look it up either because it's not important, you can do that, I have a life) but it does happen.

Turns out that he's a SMUt fan, so take that however you want.

On the Texas12 facebook group ( https://www.facebook...TX12DirtyDozen/ if you're interested, I think I'm the only UNT fan there) somebody told me he thought we were a cult like fan base. I had never heard anybody say that about us before and thought you guys should know.

I wouldn't mind playing WKU in basketball, we've had some really good, meaningful games with them. The rest of them? meh

The square of 35, McCormick, Willowwood, and Bonnie Brae requires the pass. It's a 10-15 min walk to the gate from McCormick @ Willowwood, so do with that what you will.

If we have 8 conference games we should buy a home game (FCS probably), sell a road game (I would prefer not against the perennial top 5 LSU/OU/Bama types, but whatever) and 2 home and home series against lower lovel big 5/Big East/MWC, etc. Six home games a year, no 2 for 1 traps that make for years like this one.

. LOL, thank you. Just so everybody knows, the wife and I weren't the only people who were walking down Willowwood towards Apogee for the TSU game, and there were two or three houses that were selling parking on their lawns. Looks like a few people in the park may be coming to their senses.

I'm sure KFC can find other things to give away, they'll be fine.

El Capitan, or Marfa's Paisano, or Fort Davis's Limpia, or Marathon's Gage. Lots of historic hotels in far west Texas.

It's the usual five or six that go to their games and all of their sock puppets.

Next time you have a nice open wound be sure to put some salt on it, I'm sure you'll handle it in a mature, dignified manner. Tony's a kid who just had his heart ripped out, if you had one you'd have a little empathy.

A great roadtrip?

It suddenly occurs to me that if we can't get into CUSA or MWC going to the WAC with ULL wouldn't be terrible. With our two schools wouldn't it be a 9/12 league with only TX and LA schools in our non-football division? Merely thinking out loud, I've been pretty anti-WAC up to now and I'm not yet convinced it's a good option if we don't get into CUSA or MWC, but seems more worth consideration than it has in the past.

Even a good team will occaisionally poop the bed and we haven't had a good team in quite awhile. The hole we find ourselves in is deep folks, it is very deep. We will get out, but that doesn't change the fact that we're in a hole.

While I'm all in favor of going to divisions for the cost savings and championship game, I don't see why we should add a middling program in northern LA when we already have a program that fits that description. Almost every possible candidate makes more sense to me than La Tech.

After going to the Alabama game and seeing their "Million Dollar" POS then coming home and listening to the GB I realized how spoiled we are. Thank you Green Brigade, you guys are awesome.

Greggo's really no different from a message board troll. His job evaluates him based on how much attention he gets (ratings) and if nobody's paying attention you say inflammatory things to get attention. So if you go boo him all you're doing is feeding the troll.

Seeing that might be worth the price of admission all on its own.
