Just saw the highlights on Youtube. We have new uniforms this year? Anyone have any good pics?

The most important thing to take away from this is its obvious the players loved them. So for all of you that complain about uniform threads there is the proof. Players and recruits care about this stuff, its a marketing tool, it builds excitement, times have changed.

Sorry man but this is one of the things I hate about the NFL (which I don't watch) I cringe when I see people dressed like that. It's just cheesy IMO. Is that supposed to look tough? Just my opinion but NFL crowds= Beer guzzling, middle aged, idiot guys.

Being in the red zone maybe we should officially call it "The Red Stand" ? or is just "THE Stand" good enough?

Another thing to note was that Rice tried everything, running it, screen passes, punching it in, etc. It wasn't just one thing they tried, nothing was getting through. This was the play that broke Rice's spirit.

Just like the Ball St. game these guys were spot on. Great coverage, great knowledge of the game, fantastic breakdown of the plays with full analysis, top notch crew, scrimmage and first down markers on the field, just a top quality production. I'm hoping we get more games on here.

And plenty of tackles for a loss to boot. That's just unreal! The whole defense gets helmet stickers for this series.

IF anyone were to be added I would hope CUSA would go after someone like NIU, then Army or Navy, other than that I don't really see many options to raise the league's profile. I don't think any Sunbelt schools should be added including UL and Ark. State.

Grrr...... reading some of their posts from some select fans on the CUSA board you would think they were having a great season. I normally don't mind how we win as long as we do but for this game I am hoping our defense lays into them so hard the numbers on their shirts end up backwards.

Please tell me someone got a video of this? This is my favorite chant at games, really gets me going when the crowd does it. I always thought we should do it as the captains go up for the coin toss or right before kick off to start the game. Another good one that is kind of done, though I don't know if people really do it or if it is an "official" chant or not, is during kick offs. As the kicker is getting ready: Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo *kick* Mean Green!!!!!!

I'm willing to bet we get our Eagle logo on our helmets for the Halloween game.

If its as big of a recruiting tool as uniforms are.... well....

I know some more uniform surprises were hinted at the beginning of the year. It could be any home game but will most likely be the nationally televised game vs Rice

Completely agree, the people who have heard his message will be there, its getting the others to attend. We have beaten this issue to death but the Ath. Dept. doesn't do enough to promote games on campus, a talons megaphone rally call through the dorms would be great, more signs and visual promotion would be great, signs that say 'GAME TODAY VS. __________ . free admission with student ID" would be great in every dorm and around campus would be great, it looks like no one really knows when we play and that is a big problem.

Agreed, Fly Like an Eagle always seems so lethargic. To me it seems like we have 3 or 4 songs we cycle through our whole game, not nearly enough for a band of our talent. I have alway been a fan of band that play songs in the style of "Oh fortuna"

Than maybe people need to realize that it doesn't matter that we have a senior laden team if we aren't going to execute and be mentally prepared on game day. All that experience and you give up personal fouls on crucial plays? If we can't get these type of situations under control we will continue to beat ourselves. The team looks better than past years, but it will all be for nothing if we can't play to that potential. We will see by the end of the year if we are really as good as people think or if the talent and coaching just isn't there. I know I sound like a downer, but I need to see the results on the field not coach speak, or people drinking green kool-aid hyping up the team. Talk is cheap, I want to see results.

There is no should or deserved in sports. We had the ball enough and could get nothing going on offense. The defense while outstanding didn't stop that last drive. I agree that they had some lucky breaks on the punt and pick 6 but guess what? Tulane had a player good enough to be in that position to make that play, and our guys made the mistake on executing those plays so we are to blame. Should have, would have, and could have are just excuses, we made those mistakes and we have to take responsibility for it.

We'll see if the coaching staff can make the right adjustments to get us going. The discipline and offense are a major issue. Even if the defense plays a perfect game the best they could do is take us to overtime with a 0-0. We need the offense to pull their weight too, and not rely solely on the defense to save them.
