As long as CUSA exists as an entity, there will be exit fees paid. I don't see how their situation affects the AAC 6 in any way.

The 6 departing for the AAC will see none of that money. UNT and the others have stated they will be leaving on 2023, unlike ODU, USM, and Marshall who gave a very short notice so it shouldn't affect how much we pay when we leave.

The thought of having Perry for 2 more years is nothing short of a dream.

Great game, UNT looked eager to battle it out in a tough game. UNT is known to go to the 3 when they get behind, but it wasn't happening tonight, good to see the team go for a different look and continue to drive the ball inside the lane. It shows we don't rely on just 1 thing, making adjustments to our style when we need to. UTEP is a good team with some standout players. Free throws need to be worked on, we can build leads and maintain confidence if we make more of our free throws.

Do you guys guess it will be more or less on Monday? More people are off on the weekend, but more students will be around for a weekday game.

Agreed. You can tell Coach Mac is really emphasizing defense, everyone came in active and made it a point to show their coach they were ready to defend.

IIRC it was that this was the best start ever in CUSA (Probably Sunbelt too.) At least that's what I think the commentators said.

Good to see some of the bench get minutes. Stone still hasn't gotten significant touches to see if he is a 3 point threat, I would have liked to see some plays designed to get it to him. Wright looked good in his limited minutes, his hands looked quick and active. His free throw shot form looked really smooth. I think we are all still a little puzzled as to how we aren't seeing him more.

I was there with you at the beginning of the year, but I always thought it was more that we all knew he could do better, not that we were criticizing his skills. Love the guy, and I hope he continues to push himself even further.

I've always liked this idea. Have Talons or another spirit group lead a parade and call out students with megaphones from dorms as they walk over. Whoever said a free tuition contest for students (half court shot? a certain number of 3s?) is a good idea. You could do one for students and one for fans (free season tickets or some other prize.)

Organizing the RAs the promote the games in the dorms with a few signs and a group meet up outside their dorms to walk over to the Pit might bring in a few more.

He beat the odds here, and while doing that in CUSA is great doing it at the SEC is a whole different thing. I'm in no way saying it's a guaranteed conclusion, only that going to the SEC and doing what he did here would have greatly improved his chances. A quarterback deemed too small for FBS leading an underdog team through the SEC? Yeah, he'd be the media darling faster than you can blink.
