Or just try to poach AF/CSU again.

Nice, thanks for the clarification.

Some were saying he had some kind of protective headgear, so maybe an undisclosed injury.
-
This is exactly what I hope will happen.
-
I guess we'll see won't we?
-
He honestly hasn't had much time until now. vs UTEP it was foul trouble for Ousmane, and vs. Rice we didn't play Martinez so he was the option off the bench. I just hope he can continue to develop and get 8-10mins a game.

First good for you guys on the move if it happens, any other team would do the same. 2nd if your that deep into this you've seen the recent leaks and reports that the Pac12 is likely taking a pay cut. The ESPN/Fox deal was not happening, now they are contemplating going to Amazon and risk losing a lot if exposure. Several teams have also refused to sign a GOR, causing concern of more defections. You also know that you will have to give a 24 month notice to leave the AAC, and if you do join the Pac it will most likely be at a reduced rate just like everyone else not named OU/UT.

Tough game. We've been seeing some different things lately like driving into the lane by both Perry and Huntsberry, backdoor cuts, Sissoko getting more minutes, etc. Let's hope the put it all together for this game and take the W.
-
I felt like a fool not realizing Sissoko was listed as a sophomore. For some reason I had thought he was a 5th year senior, and was another Hameir Wright type of situation. It wasn't until a couple a few weeks ago that I looked it up 😅

Word of advice? Don't. And not just this season, ever. Be happy with who we got, support them 100%, but wait for the season and see how the team performs in game before you start to make an opinion on how they are doing. Use your head, next year has a lot of unknown variables that could go one way or the other. Time will tell.

Very good road win. Another thing to think about is we had no Martinez tonight. Sissoko is getting decent minutes finally and while he isn't scoring it's good to see him give Ousmane some rest and keep him fresh.

I've got to give Abu some slack, a lot of those fouls looked like nothing. The guy couldn't even look at someone without getting a foul. One the other hand the minutes he was in he didn't do much, he needs to shake off these last few games and get back to scoring. Scott also got called on a couple that looked like they had zero contact. It was good seeing Sissoko in there. Since we actually got to see him in there I like that he looks unmovable when posting up. I hope he can develop a hook shot because he could be huge if he can.

UTEP is always a tough opponent. Get the lead early and don't let off the gas. GMG!
-
Yeah I don't understand Sissoko and Moore not seeing more playing time, especially when we are up big. What is it with UNT coaches and never trying new players?
-
Agreed. We haven't been a drive it to the basket team all season.

I guess you can just fall away as you shot and get it called a foul. utsa players were looking for those fouls all game long.

The reason I brought up numbers is because of your post saying we would be losing 1,500-2500 fans for a game like LA Tech, and IMO wouldn't be that high. I would guess a 7k arena would have been able to accommodate the crowd from that night. I would hope attendance improves in the AAC, but at the end of the year we had ACC powerhouse Virginia AT the Super Pit and only pulled in 4,800 fans for an NIT knock out game. How much better of a team do you need to get people excited?
-
We all know that 1 game was an outlier. It was to clinch the regular season championship, senior night, and the last home game of the season. The game 2 nights before that had 4,100. We all complained last year about the low attendance for a team that up to that point had 4 losses. Let's be honest as well, we know how counting works with season ticket holders, if you were there can you say there were only 1,500 empty seats in the Pit?
-
We all know the Pit is plenty big capacity wise, I was talking about there not being enough room to have all of the team amenities in 1 place. It's really just a matter of time, it's a 50 year old building that hasn't had a major renovation in its history. I guessed it had about a decade before the school really has to start looking at what to do, bringing its age to 60. That's a pretty long time for a sports facility.
